oh dear whats happened to Marilyn ?I'm afraid ,having been a fan for many years & having seen him live many times, this album was desperately disappointing , he seems to have lost his edge . the album didn't have anything particularly gripping on it & in fact most of the tracks sounded very similar to each other , which isn't at all the Marilyn I know . maybe hes got too old or burnt himself out , I dont know but I wouldn't recommend this album at all ,if I didn't need it to complete the full collection Id put it right back on Ebay. If your looking for musical thrills , look elsewhere .

) It's funny how quick a vast proportion of Manson's fans turned against him after these release. Ok, so its not his most shocking moment or indeed his best, but it is a great album which rewards multiple listens. Its great to hear songs from the heart and as soon as I heard Heart Shaped Glasses I knew the album would be great. My other favorite song is Mutilation is the most sincere form of flattery, an attack on artists who just don't compare with manson. (Agree or disagree you decide!) Overall not a good album to start you Marilyn Manson collection, but as you progress this will be a worthy addition. My advise is to buy Mechanical Animals or Antichrist Superstar first and go on from there!
