Marc Almond - Memorabilia (The Singles) (CD 2004)

Bought this as the music is great to pass the time away whilst working on my own.
Condition is very good for used CD's and play perfectly.
Quite quick delivery and well packed.
Compared to previous purchase I was a bit dubious about buying used CD again, but will not hesitate again if descriprion is accurate and price is right.

I decided to buy it because i was an 80's music type of guy and it was pure and simple memorabilia of my teenage years.

Must be getting OLD !!!!!

I have followed and loved marc,s music from the very beginning and collect everything he does. A good selection of songs on this one, i would recommend it to people getting into Marc for the first time as it includes soft cell AND Marc,s own songs plus 1991 versions of the most well known singles. As well as the duet with Gene Pitney and Bronski Beat plus a couple of 12" mixes thrown in for good measure. A good mix of songs covering different eras from Marc,s career giving the listener a chance to sample some of his own material as apposed to just the soft cell stuff. A beautiful picture of marc on the cover as well. This is actually my favourite Album cover out of all his releases. I have always found with marc that he has this knack of tapping into your feelings and with each new release the lyrics carry an element of how you feel in your own life at that time which is why so many of his songs are so personal to me. Each song tells a story as apposed to a load of lyrics strung together with the hope of creating a good song. Marc puts such emmotion into his songs and sings from the heart. He also sounds exactly the same live as on cd,nothing is "put on" with him,what you see is what you get so to speak. In my opinion he is very under rated as a singer/song writer. A true star and a very unique artist.

I had this album, on tape, years ago, loved it! Sadly, without any mention on the cover etc, some tracks have been re-recorded and have lost the spark and energy of the previous versions. Overall, as a Soft Cell fan, it's still worth a listen but just not as good as the original tape of years back.
