If you're looking for a decent upscaling dvd player and also want something to play CD's at a decent quality rate then the Marantz DV6001 is definitely a good choice.
It can also be multi-region for those who have import dvd's - something I've found very useful. Marantz are good quality for the price - I would recommend most of their products to people on a smallish budget but want the best performance.
