Dont read any plot summaries because in words the plot might seem trivial, brain-dead and pointless. The film is excellent, the acting by both Denzel and Dakota (she will go sky high, trust me on that)are just fabulous, and the plot is mind blowing. Actually "fabulous" is a small word to use for such talented actors. The film is just based on actual facts and some characters are not fictional, a fact that adds up to the shock that i was having during and after the film. If you are fond of both actors and of somewhat deranged films, you still haven't watched your favorite one yet...Trust me, in the end you will have a weird and inexplicable feeling. The film is awesome, see it, rent it, buy it or whatever...just don't miss it,thanks for reading

a kidnapping thriller.how many movies have we had based on the kidnapping sceneario. however, man on fire is much more than a simple thriller. it is an emotional movie that is powered to great heights by its outstanding leading man, denzel washington. his performance is a sure career highlight and easily one of his best to date. but there is also another brilliant performance to be had in this film. 10 year old dakota fanning. yes indeed. in the first 40 minutes of this movie you will simply fall in love with pita ramos because of dakotas outstanding performance. she is instantly loveable and right from the off you instantly care about her character. so when the kidnap scene comes it hits you all the harder. and at the end of the movie when fanning runs into washingtons arms and they deliever their lines, if your not close to tears then your a tin man without a heart. in that scene it is particularly hard to believe that dakota fanning is only 10 years old. man on fire also features a strong support cast including christopher walken who is very appealing. all in all this is a great movie with its camera trickery, flash backs, subtitles, mesmerising action and great direction by tony scott. but man on fire is deffinetley carried by its leading stars denzel washington and dakota fanning in their outstanding performances
