a real feel good movie that will have you jiggling in your seat,if you like abba you'll love this movie and even if you are not a massive abba fan there is something about this film that captivates you and keeps you watching right to the end.
a great cast with great performances by all,even pierce brosnan's and colin firth's singing are passable to say the least.
a real must see movie.

Seller was rude and told me that i could have purchased the item for £7.00 from Asda, not that really bothers me! Postage was alot of money, which he seems to enjoy making money out of. Very rude man who takes offence when told the truth

This was a great film and kept me entertaind throuh out the whole time I was viewing it. The music is great and film has that very happy good feeling about it.Good all round entertainment for all the family.A great film and quality recording. Get your self some snacks and enjoy a light hearted film and forget about the stresses of life for a while.

I bought this product yesterday because it was factory sealed and very reasonably priced, and I wanted to avoid the hastle of shopping for such a popular product, and I am really pleased I did.

It arrived this morning, well packaged and just as described. I haven't played the DVD as it is for a christmas present, but I have no reason to think it won't be fine as it is the genuine article.

I am very happy with this transaction, and have no hesitation in highly recommending this seller.

All reviews with 5/5 here must have been written by women, especially under twelves. I, as a man, was "forced" to watch this contrived tripe one night. I had a feeling it might by poor, but I was wrong, it was very poor. For God's sake how many musicals have you seen where at least half the people in it can't hold a note or dance (or even act)
ABBA songs are shoe-horned in, often making no sense and it feels more like an ABBA themed karaoke at the local pub.
The story has more holes in it than the Turin shroud and the best part is the closing credits.

loved the music, the humour, and the actors. Heard from friends who had seen the film and felt I would like it.

My wife and I went to see this last week not sure what to expect and we came away really impressed. Objectively, it's a very well crafted film. The songs are used to great effect throughout in reflecting events and building the emotion of the storyline. The particular sequence just before the wedding is an unexpected series of emotional body-blows: I defy anyone with grown-up kids to resist empathising with the feelings being portrayed on screen. It certainly caught me out - middle-aged guy speaking - and my wife (along with numerous others) shed a tear. Streep in particular is wonderfully adept at bringing the lyrics to life. I found myself thinking anew about the meaning of lines from songs I've heard and sung along to many, many times before.

Looked at coldly, without knowing details of their musical 'credentials', the cast list is an unusual combination, but there's no doubt that this particular recipe works terrifically well on screen. To those who criticise Brosnan's singing - I think you've missed the point. This is not just a standard 'musical'. The guys, it seems to me, were chosen mainly for what they could bring to the roles as actors, not as lead singers. At no point before seeing the film was I expecting to be blown away by the guys singing, and at no point during the film did I feel disappointed by it either. Their singing is a delightful facet of their broader characters and far from detracting from the value of the film as a musical, actually makes it so much more enjoyable.

To sum up, I went to see it in ambivalent state of mind, fully prepared to come away with a so-so opinion of it. I have to admit Mamma Mia won me over, and as a result, for the first time in 30 years, we've been to see a film twice. It's an optimistic, life-affirming movie. The cynics can pull it to bits if they please, but the sheer, uncomplicated happiness it gives to the vast majority who've see it - including us - speaks volumes.

Just like the Musical Mamma Mia, this new adaptation is a brilliant piece of music showcasing the legendary career of one of the best pop groups of all times - ABBA - in a heart-moving story, well-interwoven with the music.

One of the most surprising things is the singing ability of the former James Bond 007 - Pierce Brosnan. And it is interesting to recognize the two Bs of ABBA in some scenes. It would have been perfect if the two ABBA ladies had also played there, even the minor figures, for example the local women working on a farm or in a pub/club.

I rate this Movie 5*.

A great feel good film that makes you laugh and cry all the way through. Great acting, the story line's really good overall a hilarious film.

Absolutley fantastic, a def must see. It is not based around ABBA so i was slightly concerned. But amazing!!!

This film is so well made and funny i would recormend it to any one. This is a must buy present any time of the year, not just christmas.Having seen the musical in london this on par with the show. To say the cast are not singers they do a fantastic job. Get off your bums and go buy the best movie of the year. Have fun and enjoy the film. denise91mark.

Heard the soundtrack for this film before seeing it. Loved it and suspect it might be as good as the Abba originals. Have seen the Musical, and wasn't that impressed, but this does the music justice. Fantastic stuff!

Its a totaly feel good movie, nothing better than a good sing along. I could watch it again and again.

its not the type i would go for i like more of your blood and guts film .but afriend said give it a go , and the all the family loved it even the granchildren liked it and they are 8 and 9 years of age. so a great film will watch again..

I just liked the film, it had that feel good factor, made you feel like singing and dancing to the music. The end bit where they come on in the lycra is very funny, Colin Firth strutting out is hilarious. I enjoyed this very much indeed. There was nothing I disliked about the film. I went with my daughter and grand-daughter, we all enjoyed it at the cinema and I enjoyed it as much watching the DVD.

I purchased this movie as an xmas present but have seen it myself. It's a great film for a girly night in, well known songs to sing along to what more could you want!
The storyline is very bizarre and a tad unbelivable but overall well worth watching. 9/10!!
