Magellan Meridian Platinum Handheld GPS Receiver

I have the Meridian platinum. Very large for a handheld which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good if you want to hang it somewhere and see it from the helm because it has a large display screen but not a good thing for putting in your pocket for hill walking as it's bulky. Locks onto sattelites very quickly and is very accurate. Maps are good and I've got street maps for all Europe on it to A-Z level but you're limited to Magellan type software only so you can't use the Garmin or other software. Controls are easy to operate and loads of functions. Backlight is a tadge dim. I'm not sure why a disclaimer comes up asking you to click 'ok' to them not being responsible for mapping, what's that all about?!
Some of the displays are awesome like the car type speedometer, magnetic compass and so on. Loads of different type displays to choose from. Love the one touch controls, for instance just hold down the 'Go To' button and your current position is marked, simple as that. Simple in and out buttons to zoom in and out of the map and control wheel to travel all over the map. This GPS is so easy to use and very efficient.
