Madonna - Ray Of Light (CD 1998)

I Brought this cd for a present for a young girl who is madonna mad and who loves all the songs by madonna and was overwelmed by the CD,

I decided to buy it as i knew how much she liked madonna and i seen it at a cheep price.

It is just the same as what it would of been if i had brought it from the shop but a lot cheeper

Well Madonna is Queen, but even Queens have there down moments. Ray of light was Madonnas attempt at being top dog in the music world and....IT WORKED! Some still say that Ray of light was Madonna best most spiritual and lyrically brilliant albums she has ever made! With hits like "Drowned world/substitute for love", "Ray of light", "Nothing really matters", "Frozen" and "The power of goodbye" and more. A worthwhile buy if ever any gets the chance to purchase this item! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! x

After arguably producing a few mediocre albums, Madonna found a return to form with this album. It is quite different from anything else she had previously done, inhabiting an electronic, yet lush soundworld, far removed from her later 'Music' and 'Hollywood' albums, which this reviewer found rather soul-less. William Orbit's sound compliments Madonna's songs perfectly, highlights for me include the Opening track, "Drowned World" and the closing one "Mer Girl". Perhaps this will not be liked by those who prefer Madonna's earlier poppy, 'Material Girl' sound, but for me this is my favourite album of hers to date. Recommended.

I love the original recording, which is on the normal CD album of the same name. I didn't want the whole album , so decided to buy the single. I'm find the other mixes interesting, but the original is best...

If you like William Orbit but dont like Madonna dont buy this CD. IF you like Madonna but havent heard of William Orbit then buy this CD. IF you like both William Orbit and Madonna then you want to buy this CD!

Basically this is a William Orbit CD with Madonna singing and contributing some words. Its not too different to Williams other stuff but there are some nice tracks and Madonna's voice works mostly.

Simply madonna in her prime. I love all the tracks on this album and for 1p what a bargain!!!!!!!!! good old ebay!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this cd to add to my Madonna collection! I always had intended to buy it but had never got round to it, so decided to purchase at a good price from ebay!
I can honestly say this is one of my favourite madonna cd's. I can remember hearing the single Frozen for the first time and been mesmerised by it!! It still has the same effect today!! I love all the tracks and disagree with anyone who says they are "samey", each track is different in its own right and the lyrics are fantastic! Highly recommended to add to anyone's madonna collection or indeed to anyone who just appreciates good lyrics and good music!!

Sacrilege though it may be to compare Madge with David Bowie, but like Beckenham's finest Madge tends to release one superb album followed by a really duff one. Rest assured, however, that this album was her best in years, and to date remains a career high.

With her uncanny ability to source emerging talent, Madonna brought in William Orbit to produce, and his calm trippy beats are very much in evidence throughout the album. Pretty soon after this was released, Orbit was seemingly everywhere (perhaps most memorably on All Saints' Pure Shores single), but while the novelty of his sound has long since worn off this album has dated remarkably well.

Highly recommended.

Madonna - Ray Of Light (CD 1998) in my opinion marks the start of the 'new' Madonna era where there is a more professional edge to the vocals and a more technical approach to the lyrics resulting in a fantastic more mature album. I believe this is the best 'Madge' album out there. Classic tracks like Ray Of Light, Frozen & Nothing Really Matters are all included on it.

There are some great tracks on this album, some of it is a bit too similar, but the good songs make up for it!!! Excellent condition! Mega Madonna fan and collecting all her albums dvds etc..

i bought this as the price was a good deal the cd was just as explained infact its in great condition over all great purchase from ebay

This is my favourite of all Madonnas albums. It has a really soulful sound, yet is very up tempo. I find many of Madonnas songs to be too disco, but this one stands out as having more maturity to it. A beautiful album and well worth getting.

Madonna has always managed to stay well ahead of her game and this album doesn't disappoint one bit. Pure geneses 10 out of 10

this is as always very good quality of music. addressed to every one.She is real queen of pop. And She will be for many years to come because of Her approach for music and yang generation.

i love this album and i have tried many cd's for this album but the music quality of this item is amazing and wow... love it.

To replace a cd that had got scratched. Many great memories this CD holds for me and I can now recapture that, for a bargain price!

To be honest I do not own any Madonna cds but this one has had some hits and good reviews. I purchased this for my grandaughter who is six as she likes Madonna and I thought she would like it. My daughter who owns the cd recommended it and so I bought it.

Some excelent tracks on this CD, i recomend this to people that like the last couple of CD's released by this diva

A very spiritual album where Madonna writes about many personal experiences, such as the loss of her mother. A winner of many grammys (Madonna's first of her career) the album is excellent. Every track is good, especially 'Power of goodbye', 'Drowned World' and 'Frozen'. However all these tracks are on the best of album and were released as singles. If you want to buy this because, like me you want a complete CD collection, then definately do so...but if your not a huge fan simply invest in Madonna's Greatest Hits CD's.

I like the CD, I've always been a Madonna fan, it was also cheap and it was in very good condition I was very impressed with the product.
