Takes more than one listen

Unlike Confessions on a Dance Floor, which I loved from the first listen, Hard Candy takes a few listens to get into. This album has a very different sound obviously attributed to the collaberation with Timbaland, Kanye West and Justin Timberlake. Give it to Me, 4 Minutes,Beat Goes On and Spanish Lesson are fab tracks.
I think the album has a few weaknesses, the main one being the opening track "Candy Shop" which is truly awful and also the boring Incredible and if I listened to these two tracks a thousand times, I still wouldn't like them. Also, I think it was a mistake to let Madonna "talk" during some tracks as well, she is trying to be too cool and it doesn't work.
Whilst I wouldn't describe this album as a favourite, it is still good and worthy of adding to your collection.
