Following the almost 'dismal' effort that is otherwise known as 'Music' i think this newest offering really shows Madonna at her finest - doing what she does best, pure dance music with the kind of vocals that only madonna can deliver.
I personally really enjoyed tracks 1 and 3 which are just superbly 'get up out of your chair and dance' - you'll be tapping your feet and singing along in no time (If you aren't already!)
Track 2 is again very nice, a little more mellow but funky all the same.
Track 10 is really unusual, i can almost detect some undertones of the Ray of light album, as i can in track 4.
Some of the tracks are edging on trance style synths and rhythms, very unique indeed. If you like Daft Punk, The Orb and good old funky beats then this is the album for you.
All in all - if you love Madonna, her attitude and her style, you'll surely love this!
10/10!!

//{*_*}\\ To sum this album up "EXCELLENT". This is by far her best work in a very long time well since Like a Virgin Album. I urge you to go out and get this! I would rate this 10 out of 10.

  Definately Worth a Listen To!!

Before we start - i know im hardly in a position to tell Madge how to make music, but as a customer I have paid for the privelidge to pass judgment - and on this occasion - the girl's done good!

There are some very catchy tracks (admittedly - more so the two she has released so far- 'sorry' and 'Hung Up') But there are others 'I Love N.Y' and 'Jump' which definately have the potential to do well in the charts.

'Push' is another good one - slightly less upbeat than the others, but still music to the old ears!

In conclusion - if you like Madonna - you WILL like this album - simple! And if you don't then chances are the music is varied enough to guarantee that you will at least enjoy it - and you may even love it!

Definately one to try

  You can dance
Review created: 17/11/05

So here's Madge with a dance release! I vaguely remember an awful attempt at club/dance music in the eighties by Madonna called "You can dance" - Yes maybe we can and probably we can't but I really can't imagine many folks swung their stuff to that album. But some 15 years or more on - she's got it right. Very catchy tunes all blended together and very polished production as you would expect. Influences of house , disco , trance and I'll say it again "catchy" tracks - instantly likeable album for singing & dancin' round the bedroom , lounge or dance floor. I'm not a big madonna fan but I do like dance music and this is a very good dance record. I would love a few more instrumental/dub sections to break up Madonna's vocals and perhaps a few more tempo drops would not go amiss. As a party record it's just great and this should do very well. I'm looking forward to the single mixes that will appear over the coming months - hopefully some thin white duke / sasha masterpieces will be gracing my decks. Overall Good 4/5 - Perhaps a little longer and more imagination on the sections that link the tracks and I would have given it a 5/5.

  Madonna...... what happened????

im sat here reading all the reviews other people have left for this, i disagree.
the album is full of fillers..... most of them are slow and dull and boring.
i have listened to the whole album which i bought and i only like 2, number 1 and number 11 (number 11s intro sound 'like a prayer', which means she must be losing here touch).
i would not buy this album again.... i would advise you to keep clear....

I received my copy in the post on Saturday 12th Nov, two days before it hits the shops (thank goodness for online ordering) and I already LOVE this album. I've always been a Madonna fan as long as I can remember and this is another amazing album from Her Madge-esty. One word - Amazing!

I love this album it's great. I decided to buy it after hearing the first couple of singles and was a little worried that the rest might be boring fillers but it is a fab album. If you liked the first few singles you'll more than likely enjoy the rest of it.

  Madonna CD

Althought being a huge MAdonna fan, and the CD played quite perfectly, had no scratches and was fine in ever other way, it was not an origonal it was a copied CD marked with a CD pen MAdonna Cofessions, this is the only negative thing i would say as the ad' did not mention it was a copy and had a copy of the original over on the posting. If it has been for my own purposes i would be fine with it, but it was for my brothers birthday, and needless to say could nopt goive him an e-bay copied CD, so had to end up paying the full price at HMV (which i troed to avoid in the first place).

Other then that, i would recomment this seller to all, it arrived in good time, fine quality (for a copy i guess) and played fine.

  Disco-fever!
Review created: 14/05/06

With the below average album "American Life", it was interesting to see what Madonna would come up with next. The answer was a fine blend of disco pop, each track guaranteeing to get you in the mood hit the dancefloor. With so many good songs on the album, it is hard to pick the highlights, but my outright favourite has to be the feel-good track "Jump". Other favourites include "How High", "Push" and the rather cleverly written "Like It Or Not". Overall, my expectations of this album were high, and listening to it did not disappoint. With so many good tracks it will be interesting to see which are released as singles! In my opinion, definately her strongest album to date. A must-have for all Madonna fans!

Never ever I'm buying a new Madonna record again

I loved her, and still do, as the pop-slut of the 80's. With this CD she proves to me she's got nothing more to say as the lyrics are getting poorer and poorer. Didn't she have a fab career from "the virgin" to "the ray of light"? She's degrading herself and her brand by continuing with this sad record. This is my last Madonna album. Anyway, I still love her great old albums but I can do without the kabbalah-crap too!!!

  Get yourself on the dancefloor!

I bought her album following 'Hung Up' hitting the charts. It's a BRILLIANT album. Good tunes and beats for listening to in the car, singing in the shower or just before you go out clubbing, it will get your feet tapping & sure to get you in the dancing mood! There are a couple of less catchy tunes, but we can't all be perfect! I can highly recommend this album to everybody! In truth, I don't like Madonna, but I do like most of her music & this is far better than her last 'Music' album. Very Disco influenced & catchy music! Definitely, top 5 in your CD collection!!!

Sorry Madge, I believe your magic was left in the eighties and early ninties. This album is full of tracks that are "almost" "not quite" & "nearly"

The queen of pop strikes again with tracks that echo the 70s with a modern flow. The tracks glide into the next.Including the latest Hung up single.
this is the ideal choice.

When I first heard the track 'Get Together' this sumed up everything I imagined the album to be, everything I wanted it to be and more! I was tottally overwhelmed. Each track has it's own uniqueness. The subtle hints of other songs detected within certain tunes became a guessing game of what she had sampled. This album is like one big giant disco ball which will make you want to get up and dance and keep on dancing I never get tired of it.

  What's next after house?
Review created: 20/11/06
1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

A fantastic album from a production point of voice, and effortlessly programmed to journey through the tracks, but it might be argued that the album is slightly dated. The typical and predictable 4/4 house beats, synths and house/disco samples. Suffice to say the big club hits including Hung Up, Get Together and Sorry are great, but give it a second, third and fourth listen and you might only be listening to the first few tracks before switching off again.
Overall rating, 4 out of 5, but it's not ground breaking.

I love this CD which my sister stealed from me so I got a replacement as it was so good. I think Madonna gets better with each albumn she produces, the tracks have all good beats some catchy lines and you can't stop humming them as you do your housework. I love the tracks " Sorry, I love New York, Jump and Push. Any fan probably has this in thier collection already but anybody thinking about it I would say just get it, I don't think you would be disappointed.

Been a fan of Madonna since I was a little girl and this is one of her best albums to date - which is no easy task since they are all good, due to them all being different. It is really upbeat making it so enjoyable to listen to as well as making you want to get up and move. A+
