MGMT - Oracular Spectacular [Digipak] [ECD] [PA] (CD 2008)

This is a fantastic album from an exciting new band, fusing psychadelic electronic synth grooves with rock and even folk ! Fairly trippy sounds and fantastic melodies will keep you listening for many years to come :)

Every song is a winner with no duds at all, arranged beautifully and you even get a bonus psychadelic video track (Electric Feel) as well, bargain !

These guys are quite out there and are in a category of their own amongst the never-ending stream of samey indie variants we are sadly bombarded with at the moment.

You'll recognise at least 2-3 of the tracks straight away and may not have realised these heroes were responsible for them ! I came to this album only knowing a few and the others won me over instantly. The CD hasnt left our player since I got it and 2/3 of the songs feature in my favourite playlists at the moment :)

Saw these chaps at Reading Festival and it was one of the liveliest and finest performances of the weekend, definitely check them and this album out NOW :) you wont regret it I promise !

I bought this on the strength of the 2 songs that have been played to death on local radio staions everywhere. Unfortunately these were the highlights of a generally dull and uninteresting album. Phsychodelic synths are ok but not for a full 45 minutes. No other tracks really stand on this album and I would probably have been better buying the singles. Glad I didn't pay full price!

If you like the scissor sisters, then this is a great album to add to your collection, great songs, shame it's not a longer album, 4 more songs would have been perfect.
Never mind, still worth the money.

excellent, great album, not often you get a album where all the songs are good. well organised order of songs, nice variation of energy and relaxation, great to drive to.

Brought as love 2 songs, Its an album that grows on you till its the only thing you listen too.
Mixture of 60s sounding music to Oasis kind of classics also the relaxed feel to it is amazing!!

Any one thinking of buying this album that even only likes one song will not be disappointed.

Refreshing change from the music out there today.

best elctro album of the year (from what i've heard). perfect for having a good little dance to when you're on one of those kind of retrospective nights out if you know what i mean :)

this album is amazing because - 1. there are no shitty tracks, 2. many of them are really catchy and you cant get them out of your head, 3. the lyrics are cool, 4. they dont sound like anyone else around at the moment :)
