  LOST SERIES 3 DVD

Series 1 was the about the crash survivors, Series 2 was about The Hatch, Series 3? The Others. Opening with the type of mindbending scene that only Lost can conjure up, Series 3 kicks off only seconds after the end of the previous series. Jack, Kate and Sawyer have been imprisoned by The Others, the fallout after the destruction of The Hatch has to be dealt with and just who is the mysterious new character Juliet?

Series 3 proves to be the best so far, it introduces so many new characters, locations, theories and storylines, and adds so much to the mythology of the show that re-watching the DVDs will be the only way to catch up with all the plot points.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DVD TV SERIES TO ANYONE. A EXCELLENT GRIPPING WATCH.
IF THIS WAS HELPFUL COULD YOU KINDLY TICK THE HELPFUL BOX. THANK YOU.

  LOST SERIES 3 DVD

Some fans weren’t overly crazy about the first eight episodes of the show, which focus exclusively on Jack, Kate and Sawyer and just about ignore the rest of the cast. This was a major departure from the past two seasons, where each episode focused on a different character, but these episode still do a lot: they set the stage for what is to come, they introduce us to The Others and give us some insight into the truth about the island. The series starts off great, with a shockingly suburban scene, and the first half of the season ends great as well, with the amazingly tense scene where Jack holds Ben hostage and orders Kate to run. From there, the show returns to its more ordinary format, focusing on different characters as it sees fit to develop the story. Still, there are a lot more of The Others, and now, instead of making them an elusive shadow people, they are themselves people and characters who just happen to have twisted morals. The introduction of Jacob (if you can call it that) is terrific, and there are plenty of other highlights in the series as well. While there are a few stumbles (Hurley’s van episode), but hey, no one’s perfect.

The DVD, as you might imagine, has a lot of little bonus features, all of which are gathered onto Disc 7. Much like with Lost itself, you have to work to find the features, as the DVD lacks labels for the most part. While I normally don’t like this approach, it fits in with the theme of the show, and also gives you a chance to explore for easter eggs, of which there are several. Some of these easter eggs are pretty lame (one where various cast and crew members talk with sentiment to everyone who has made the experience so great), but there are a few that are entertaining.

The real meat of the special features are these:

The World of the The Others
A look at different aspects of the revelations about the bitter enemies of the survivors. Fans will be delighted that the cast and crew reveal a lot of little tidbits you may not have thought about.
Lost Flashbacks
Nothing too spectacular here. There are a couple additional flashbacks that provide a little more detail into certain stories, but there’s nothing that wasn’t removed without a purpose.
Lost On Location
This is an entertaining featurette that explores several episodes from behind-the-scenes. There are a lot of cast and crew interviews and looks at how sequences were filmed. The most interesting part is where we see how the original crash scene is reconstructed to add in new actors that weren’t around in the first season.
The Lost Book Club
Watch this one. The writers reveal that every book shown in the show has significance, and they let slip a few details about what’s to come. There are definitely a few things in here that had me wanting the fourth season to come along right now.
Lost in a day
This is a look at 24 hours in the day of the production. I honestly can’t remember if I found this one insightful or not, but I think I did.
Deleted Scenes
There are a few decent deleted scenes, but, of course, there’s nothing too spectacular to be found here.
Bloopers
Hey, who doesn’t like bloopers?
I’m not quite sure where this is on the DVD - it may be an easter egg - but the best part of the features is a brief instructional video a la the Dharma Initiative. Does this explain the truth behind Lost?

Series 1 ... Good, Series 2 ... really good, but series 3 ... Excellent! The very best so far and left so many cliff hangers that I can't wait until the next series to appear on the small screens. It has to be "a must-see" for this decade!

Lost is just one of them series you cant get bored of. it makes stopping in on a fri or sat that little bit easier if you want to. with its multi-character storey lines, and individual cliffhanger endings to each episode its hard to turn off and wait till another time to see what happens next.
a gem of a unique series, which has definately earned its place in suspense drama history. roll on series 5!!!

  Lost Season 3

I am loving this new season. It answers a lot of questions about the survivors pasts and how they ended up the way that they are, but also throws up new questions. I think that maybe it tells you why everyone is on the island, but knowing Lost it will turn out to be another red herring. I can't wait for Season 4. Maybe we will find out whats really going on. LOVIN IT!!

I could spell it out for you in real letters, but then again I'm already thrice guilty of this offence to reason! I would love to tell the producers of this tripe to go get LOST - but somehow it would ring false, since I have actually seen all 3 seasons of this nonsense. Therefore I suppose I just have to say something in its favour. Ashamed as I am to admit it, even Season 3 managed to entertain me, although being virtually indistinguishable from Season 2 as regards story development, it does inevitably become repetitive. Maybe it's because I've managed to endure the two previous seasons that I don't seem to care!
Perhaps it's like chocolate: without realising it, you become addicted, and although it doesn't do you much good, you enjoy it whilst it's going down.

After slogging through the utterly tedious serious 2 you'll be wanting an answer or two. Series 3 sets about giving you a much fuller picture of whats occurring on the island without being conclusive. There were episodes in S2 that just left me reeling with frustration as pile upon pile of mystery was unloaded while the viewer was starved of any explanation. S3 is a juicy watch with some key villains atlast getting there comeuppance. Highly recommended

  Lost series 3 - Great!
Review created: 13/09/09

This series is all about the intriguing 'others' how they live, what they do and who they are (but the writers not giving too much away)
Who is the mysterious Jacob? Why are the others living there? Where do the lists come from?
The series starts from where series 2 ends - what happens to Kate, Jack, Hurley and Sawyer.
Throughout the series they have a good mixture of episodes - some quite violent, some lighthearted and some funny scenes. We get to know the main characters more whilst they introduce some mysterious new ones that keep us gripped and intrigued.

However if you want the show to wrap up and conclude then you will be a bit disappointed as it gets more in depth and adds new questions to the growing list.
If you don't want Lost to end anytime soon, you will love it!

In my opinion this series has the BEST FINALE!
ACTION, DRAMA, TWISTS, SUSPENSE. A real feel good ending.

I buy the boxsets because the great thing about Lost is you can watch it over and over again and sometimes you need to re-watch episodes because it gets more in depth and quite confusing as it goes on.

DEFINATELY RECOMMENDED!

If, like me, you have been waiting for this series to be televised and can wait no longer, then this is the DVD for you. It contains all 23 episodes and it does not disappoint. Each episode is enthralling. I had to limit myself to 2 episodes at a time, so I could draw the thrill out a bit longer!! Series 4 is screening on Sky at the moment - I can hardly wait for that to come out on dvd too!

There are lots of bonus features included too, such as 'Lost on Location' and 'Deleted scenes'.

So, if you are getting withdrawal symptoms for Lost I thoroughly recommend buying this DVD - you won't regret it!

Lots of exciting stuff and things going on, but not as believable as the first and second series. I cant see any real explanation for everyones xenophobia of each other, but perhaps thats supposed to be the effect of the island. All the characters seem to behave like they are permanently suffering crack withdrawal symptoms or something ! A bit flawed but brill all the same.

  LOST ROCKS!!!!!!!!
Review created: 10/04/08

I missed Season 3 when it aired on TV so I was desperate to catch up with what had happened. I got a great deal for the box set, as always - Ebay NEVER disappoints.

The season was amazing - an improvement on Season 2. The end of every episode was a cliff hanger and i quite literally wasted my 3 days off of work sat in front of the TV. It was impossible to tear myself away.

I would highly recommend this to anyone.
