I have been lucky enough to watch series 2 in its entirety and I can honestly say that I was not disappointed with the follow up to the first 24 episodes. Season 1 brought us the now well used serial format used by 24, Prison Break etc, but with a twist. Never before has a series been so uniquely composed asking so many questions and giving few answers while still managing to keep the viewer intrigued and desperate for the next episode.
Series 2 goes 'behind the hatch' discovered towards the end of series 1. The first few episodes follow along nicely from what has went before until we get bogged down, only a little!! by only a few weak episodes, before the action and mystery pick up again as more of the island and its secrets are revealed at an alarming pace. The season finale which draws together the last two episodes are superb and should leave any fan longing for season 3 which for me cannot come quickly enough.
Season 2 continues to add more depth to the characters introduced in the 1st. The contrast between the personalities their backgrounds and the seemingly never ending plot twists provide a potent formula for the viewer. The locations used for shooting, background music and direction all come together well to make this a strong 2nd season
As a fan of the show and the concept I would strongly recommend Lost. To those who have seen season 1 be ready for more of those ' I didn't see that coming' moments and to those who haven't seen the show before, why don't you use the summer to watch season 1 and catch up before diving into season 2. In my opinion the creators of this have dragged the storyline on too much, its getting pretty boring but still watchable, you want to know whats going to happen but i wish they would hurry up about it.

Lost is a show that, with its premise and setting of a desert island, would always end up being frustrating. The makers of the show have had to flesh out the many plots and sub plots over a whole season which at times gives the show a stop start nature. An enticing adavnce into the mystery of the island and its inhabitants will be revealed only to be abandoned for later episodes. This does frustate at times but don`t let it put you of. The writers have skillfully created characters who are always interesting and these characters are fleshed out even more in the second season. The backstories of the said characters gives us a glimpse into their lives before the crash-keep an eye out for other people on the island appearing in each others backstory. The many mysteries and mytholigies of the island are of course the main draw to the story. But beware by the end of the season youre left with more questions than answers but this only adds to the intrigue. The season starts at quite a pace with a dip in the middle but towards the end it picks up pace again and doesnt cease until the incredible season finale that will leave you breathless, confused but most of all immesurably intrigued and waiting with baited breath for the third season. If yuo can put up with the odd annoying episodes then you will treat yourself to a tv series to stand proudly alongside The Sopranos, The west Wing et al.

I have watched Lost since the begin and I am completely hooked, always awaiting the next episode. It is a fantastic programme full of countless layers of mystery and intrigue concerning the characters themselves and the island. I have literally been on the edge of my seat during some episodes. The story-line is perhaps the best I have ever come across. I bought this particular DVD box-set because I missed a few of the episodes when they were on TV and I HAD to catch up. However, even if I had not missed the episodes I would still have bought this box-set as it is great to watch them again.

OK maybe I did not give this enough chance, but I watched the first series despite all around me giving up – only to be left wondering what it was all about. Come the next series, I was the only one left amongst my friends and acquaintances to be still watching and I have to admit after 3 episodes I gave up. This is much too dragged out and does not have enough cliff hangers to keep you glued to the next episode. If you’ve stuck every episode out then maybe keep on watching, bit for me, I cant even watching the trailers for any more episodes!

Lost - series 2 Part 1 (DVD) A very different type of mystery tv series. During the series, which starts with a plane crash, you follow the life stories of the characters involved. The viewer is shown how these characters have been thrown together because of the plane crash. Only to reveal through fate or chance they may have met before!
I like this whole series, with twists and turns through the individual episodes, there is always a cliffhanger at the end.
Buying the box set allowed me to watch at my own pace (4 episodes a night) and catch up on episodes i had missed when shown on the television.
There are lots of extra features on each disc as well as a dedicated bonus disc included. These give an insight of the characters from the actors point of view with some interesting stories.
On the bad side this series is very addictive and will not let you go easily!

i have series (1) in collection of dvds and saw this item on ebay at a much lower price than in the shops ,the said item i recived and the service was 110%.iv only just started using ebay and find it so easy ,being 66 years of age a young one at that i am very (very pleased with your site and hope to carry on using it for a long time to come

If you were feeling a little bit frustrated at the end of Season 1 of Lost, fear not, it just gets better. Answers may not come thick and fast, and usually bring up more questions than they answer, but it will keep you on the edge of your seat. The very first scene of the first ep shows you what is in the hatch and there are new characters (so not so Kate/Jack focussed). Other characters are given a chance to develop, and people stop being so black and white. Who is good and who is bad becomes rather blurred as their stay on the island continues. But will we ever find out what the Others are up to? Tune in and see. (Maybe).

This DVD should come with a health warning, you will be addicted to this programme once you start watching it!
Many people say they lost the plot during the second series, I think you just need to stick with it and admire the genius of the writers where they solve a mystery in an episode but create two new mysteries.
I love Lost, great actors, great plots great location and a polar bear thrown in for good measure!

Lost is the greatest TV show in the history of TV. It has drama, comedy, romance, and all the twist and turns that mess with your head. This series 2 part 1 picks up straight from where the season 1 ended and chucks you straight back into it.
You will get instantly hooked and before you know it you will have no epiosdes left to watch.

Part of a continuing story line from television series. The viewer would have had to have watched the first series for this one to make any sense. Really enjoyable and left with a cliff hanger end to the series. I cant wait for the next series to come on dvd.

I bought it because I caught one episode of the series on UK TV and was hooked!
Now I own all of series 1 and series 2 and am awaiting (or looking for!) series 3.
I shall follow it to the bitter end, the characters are good and the storylines excellent
