Lost Boys/Lost Boys 2 (DVD)

i love the original lost boys and only had iton vhs so decided to get it on dvd the lost boys 2 doesnt touch the original but worth a watch :)

A surfer/biker/teen/vampire movie. With an awful soundtrack. Or perhaps it should be a rubbish/dodgey acting/not remotely scary/cheap special effects/vampire movie. With an awful soundtrack.

Nothing like the first Lost Boys film, which was tongue-in-cheek funny and scary too. This is just the usual cheap teen horror flick, with some sex scenes, some blood, and no real story line. Girl gets bitten, will her brother save her? Will Corey Feldman start talking in a normal voice? Yes, and no. And there you are.

The Lost Boys is an absolutely excellent film, good story line, excellent vampires.
The Tribe - the best thing about it is its title, its all down hill from there. very disappointing.

the lost boys is the best vampire film ive ever seen,theres loads of bloodsucking and action,lostboys 2 comes a very close 2nd,nice to see cory feldman in this one,pitty werent more of cory haim...

Lost Boys 2: The Tribe takes the most annoying things about the first movie and goes downhill from there. The characters were shallow and predictable. The plotline is so full of holes. The music is probably the only redeeming quality and even that falls very short of Lost Boys. It was hard to watch and want to be interested knowing how it was going to end. Why oh why oh why? So the movie takes place in good ol' Santa Carla. We see a group of surfers sneaking in private property and find out they aren't what they seem. We then proceed to a cozy older brother and a younger sister. The sister meets a vampire and drinks some blood from a flask. The overprotective brother seeks advice from a surf board shaper/internet ordained minister/ vampire hunter (Corey Feldman) whom we know as Edgar Frog who says you need to almost become one and take it to the edge. I won't spoil it but I'm sure you can get a good idea of where this is going. It just fails miserably at capturing the charisma of the classic. Let's see here are my ratings

Characters: 2/5 Pretty and Shallow.
Plotline: 1/5...what plotline.
Music: 3/5 Remix of Cry Little Sister.
Special Effects: 1/5 Gremlins had better effects.
Playability: 1/5 don't buy, rent and that might even be a waste.
Overall: 2/5 Only because I love vampires.
