Logitech Marble Mouse Trackball (904368-0914)

I had many problems using a mouse, pains in the arm and elbow, so many years ago I tried a budget trackball, it was great but soon started to play up, so I splashed out on a Logitrack Marble, it is still working like new.

It was a revelation, easy to get used to and the extra buttons come in useful, I set them to page up and down. The optical tracking keeps everything running smoothly and if sticky fingers have paid a visit - cleaning is easy. The left handed love it as it is "double sided". It also works fine with the standard Windoze drivers, I have used it with 98,ME,XP and Vista, Linux likes it too. Just plug into PS/2 or USB, boot up and it just works.

When another PC arrived we soon swapped the mouse for another Marble, and when recently I saw a Marble on Ebay I just had to bid as it is great to use with a laptop too. It turned up as advertised and works like new, all at a great price.

From experience I have found it best to get the special driver online as the one on the bundled disc can be a little out of date, the Logitech support site tries to push software called Setpoint, I think this is rubbish and I never use it. Just get the driver alone, it has all the options you need.

This was my "great switch back" to trackballs. My last ones were from the PS2 era, and boy did realize what I was missing. I've never skimped on pointing devices, and bought the nicer models from Razer, MS and Logitech. The main difference to this product: the pain in my wrist is gone. I have to do a fair bit of pointing and clicking on a daily basis, and used to take a break every few hours to let my right hand "cool down". These days I can used that time to relax instead.

Using a trackball is like riding a bicycle: once you've learned it, it'll always come back to you. If you've never used one before, it'll take about a week of normal use to get used to it. This product isn't a compromise, it's actually more powerful than a regular mouse once you get going.

The build quality is very nice, and I dare say it's better made than the TrackMan Wheel. It's also more accurate. All-in-all, a great product and good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone!

i have mine fitted to my laptop and i have had it fitted to the computer as well my kids all have these they all loved mine its so easy just give it a go for gaming as well as its quick and doesnt take long to get the hang of it

Brilliant....comfortable....easy to use. No scroll wheel tho. Just depends wether you need that or not. A+++

I was a little dubious of getting this, but due to a problem with my wrist which became very painful if I used a normal optical mouse for any length of time.
it was easy enough just plugged it into a usb port and off i went, it also came with an adaptor so it could be plugged into the port on the back of a PC.
It took a little while to get use to not moving the whole thing about and only use the ball on top, but not it's the probebly the best and easiest mouse I've ever owned. And the bonus it that it has really helped with my wrist problem, no more pain when I use my mouse for an extended time

I would definatly recommend this to anyone, also its great if you don't have alot of room for a conventional mouse, or if you are using it with a laptop on the couch.

takes a little getting used to. so much faster than a mouse.but once you get the hang of it i doubt i,ll ever go back to the mouse again. excellent piece of kit.

This is a great first trackball, it's easy to use, reasonably priced and really helps with desk space. Much better than standard mice!

I've used these for 4 years now and in a hectic crowded work area they are much better than a mouse. They use a small amount of space and are very comfortable to use. It takes a few hours to get used to but after a while you'll never want togo back to a mouse.

I have used and test driven every kind of mouse, touch pad and tracker ball but by far my favorite and the most reliable is the logitech marble mouse (My Original) which has had constant use on my computers since the launch of Windows 95 has remained working through 98, Me to Xp and beyond.
It uses little space on my desktop, is effortless fast and accurate.
I have recommended this animal to many people that I have seen struggling with common mice, Once used most are totaly converted.
You will use this in preference to all the alternatives once you are hooked.

This is my second purchase of a Logitech trackball mouse. At work, after a few hours of working on the computer with a standard mouse I would develop a painful shoulder. It was always my mouse shoulder that hurt. Change to the trackball and only a few days later my shoulder pain has gone and I am deliberately being more careful about how I support my hand and shoulder. Perfect!

I can't, off hand, think of any other purchase I have made recently that has been such an unmitigated success. I was beginning to dread using my PC because my mouse was making me apoplectic with rage. This Logitech Marble mouse was simplicity to install, and it's smooth operation and ease of use surpasses both its description and my wildest hopes! Without any doubt, a sure fired 10 out of 10.

i love these. have one at work and two at home. this one i bought for my laptop due to mobility issues with using the mousepad. so easy to use and great quality item. much more robust than the kensington orbit marble mouse. buy one!

Quality product! Takes less space than a mouse and is much more precise. I needed one for my workshop (CNC computer) and it is great for the job.

If you like this style mouse it works a treat.I always use this style and find it much easier.
I find it can be used Left or Right handed.

The marble mouse is really easy to use. I already have one but purchased another one for my son as i think they are great. Comfortable to use too.

Well as a recent sufferer of what is basically pains in the hand and forearm blamed on the overlong use of a mouse at work and possibly at home in the evenings i wanted to find a different mouse to reduce the cause and minimise the effect ultimately cause it really hurts. Being left handed it isnt that easy to get a really comfortable mouse other than the usual Honda Civic styled ones that fit all. These are fine but you have to hold and this squeeziong is the problem - these Logitec roller balls are left staic and you move the ball - it is big enough to rest all your hand comfortably on and then operate the buttons by rocking your hand with minimal motion. There is a learning curve to get over and it is certainly odd at first but after only a couple of hours it becomes natural and accurate to use without having to concentrate. Although only 2 days into ownership i can say they are ergonomically well designed and also of good quality construction - I wouldnt expect to completely drop the use of a normal mouse from time to time but these allow an alternate working method to be adopted when the strain is experienced that allows accurate and relaxed working for hours without fatigue.

This mouse is an excellent bit of kit and is much quicker to use once you get used to it. The only downside is the way in which you scroll down pages. The wheel on a standard mouse is much better for this.

Overall I would happily recommend this product to anyone who wanted to save desk space, work faster and improve their accuracy.

Have used a logitech mouse for years this is my third mouse and I still have the other two and both still working my grand children are using them now, excellent mouse for gaming will never use anything else because nothing else comes close. This mouse is one of those inventions when used you will wonder how ever you done without, it is a oneway street with no return not that you would want too I cannnot praise this mouse enough so get it. Your money will not be wasted.
