Cheap and Cheerful but difficult to use

We needed another DVD recorder for our second TV ready for the digital switch-over. Didn't want to pay too much so chose this one. It was a good price, especially considering it comes with a freeview tuner. However we can't get a digital signal on it at all, so that was a waste of time and money. It records from Sky perfectly - once you have worked out how to get the thing to record in the first place. The instructions are very difficult to understand and poorly set out, but worth the effort to wade through. Also, the built-in hard drive is permanently on and very, very noisy. We've got ours in the kitchen, so no probs with that!
If you want a well-built, not-too-bad-looking Freeview DVd recorder at a great price then I can recommend this model. Provided you have the patience to spend a good while working out how to use it.
