Good Scottish film, bring back memories. Set in the highland of scotland, the oil company try to out witt the locals, the locals try to out witt the oil man from texas. Funny, good sound track, beautiful back drop.

wonderful nostalgia and great film It could be a lesson to the modern world as to how not to be obsessed with the material.Don't miss it.Bert Lancaster is sup;erb as usual.

liked it all it was my brother in law in australia that wants it so i bought it for him and had a look at it i was disapointed with finish though

This is what I would describe as a nice family film. Perfect for the winter afternoons and suitable for all the family, kids included.
There's a mix of lovely Scottish scenery, a pleasant and enjoyable story line with the right degree of humour, a great cast and music by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits fame. It's worth buying for the music alone.
I had seen the film before and decided to add it to my collection as it's the sort of film you can happily watch again and enjoy just as much as the first time. Treat yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed
