In Roger Moore's first outing as 007, he investigates the murders of three fellow agents, he soon finds himself a target, evading vicious assassins as he closes in on the powerful Kananga (Yaphet Kotto).

Known on the streets as "Mr Big", Kananga is co-ordinating a globally threatening scheme using tons of self-produced heroin. As Bond tries to unravel the mastermind's plan, he meets Solitaire (Jane Seymour), the beautiful Tarot card reader whose magical gifts are crucial to the crime lord. Bond, of course, works his own magic on her, and the stage is set for a series of pulse-pounding action sequences involving voodoo, hungry crocodiles and turbo-charged speedboats.

James Bond - Live & Let Die

Although I preferred Sean Connery as James Bond, Live & Let Die is my favourite Bond Film. Already owning a copy on regular DVD format, after upgrading my Home System, a Bluray version was purchased. The picture quality is amazing of this excellent Bond film, & is well worth a purchase for anyone to add to their Bluray collection.

the name bond james bond as roger moore gets to say it for the first time as james bond in live and let die the story was good and the actors was good as well but the only thing that made it miss the excellent spot for me was that there was no on the edge of your seats excitement that the previous bonds had plus lus i think that there could have beeen a little bit more humour in it.

In my opinion the best script written for any bond film whether you are a Connery or Moore fan. Roger Moore has some excellent puns to deliver throughout the film which he passes with flying colours and the adorable Jane seymour looks fabulous. Bond is the inevitable hero even wearing 70's flares.

  LIVE AND LET DIE

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A MISSED OPPORTUNITY OF A BOND FILM..... IT HAD DIFFERENT SETTINGS: VOODOO, DRUGS, BOND IN HARLEM, A FUNKY MUSIC SCORE.... BUT IT'S RUINED BY SITCOM ONE-LINERS AND THE WHOLE THING IS AN AWKWARD MIX OF UNSETTLING VOODOO AND DRUGS UNDERMINED BY CARRY-ON LEVEL COMEDY.... MOORE IS WAY TOO LIGHTWEIGHT IN THIS FILM, AND THE WHOLE SHERIFF BOAT CHASE COMEDY ROUTINE GOES ON WAY TOO LONG, ALMOST AS IF IT'S JUST TRYING TO PAD OUT THE RUNNING TIME.... MOORE DID FAR BETTER IN THE 80'S WHEN HIS BONDS BECAME A BIT LESS FORMULAIC AND A BIT MORE SERIOUS. LIVE AND LET DIE IS ONE OF THE LEAST WATCHABLE FILMS OF THE SERIES, REDEEMED ONLY BY A GREAT TITLE SONG, CREDIT SEQUENCE AND MUSIC SCORE.

This is one of the better ones if not the best. I'm a Roger Moore as Bond fan and this, his first, and View to a Kill, his last, are the standouts for me - in fact all are except Octopussy. Moore plays it straight in this one - he camps it up a lot more in the latter films but its a true action flick with everything you'd want from a 007 film
