Lions For Lambs (DVD)

Wise people & teachers know potential & talent when they see it. It's not hidden in academic grades, but in the ability to use the spark of inspiration to observe, apply & live by. This film nicely demonstrates that in its dialogue between teacher & a student (in whom he has recognised calibre & potential). The teacher, Robert Redford, takes on a role beyond teaching the subject matter, acting as a guide - to help awaken his students to their convictions, encouraging 'independent thinking' & integrity.

GOOD CAST BUT RUBBISH DISJOINTED STORY. THE THREE PART TYPE FILM DIDN'T WORK.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY DESPITE THE EXCELLENT CAST. THEY WERE WASTED.

Room for improvement as my teachers always said............I bought this because i watched 'Spy Game' by Robert Redford and considered it to be truly excellent and the Lions for Lambs did to the extent of 98% live up to the standard of Spy Game.....sadly though the very last 2% totally undid the whole thing............... so basically the best thing is to switch off before the last minute........this simple act would improve the watching of it........and never ask why.....i think i would have been annoyed if i had paid full price for this DVD....which is what i like about eBay.....

A great film, that I saw at the cinema and wanted to see again. Redford's thoughtful directing makes this a film to provoke the conscience.
Highly recommended.

Brilliant film, Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep both shine throughout.

this was a really good film i felt i enjoy it from the moment it start to the end. I only gave it 4/5 because i thought they could have but in more action but apart from that it was really gd. highly recommend buying u wont be disappointed. ****

Interesting outlook from all sides on what many perceive as the forgotten war, I found it well directed and interesting, I maybe expected more, the real thoughts of the boys on the ground may well not have appealed to the Hollywood market though.Good Movie.
