It is an old comedy series from the sixties, and there are only these episodes which remain, and I love the old 60's/70.s sit coms.

Just old enough to remember the Likely Lads when they were on TV. Have wanted to get hold of the Black & White episodes for a while. A couple on this DVD I had not seen on tape. Still funny after all these years. Shows the 60's as I (just about) remember them, also shows how attractive Terry's sister Audrey was !.

Brilliant. Although the follow up shown in the 70's, (Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads) was also very good, for me, the orignals are the best.

If you are of the certain age and can remember the original series this is for you. I discovered this sit-com in my early teens and remember realising that I was enjoying a grown up's bit of TV. This DVD captures the real feel of the shows, the sexism, the smoking, the slight timing errors due to the "live" recording of the day. But the climax of Terry's joining up as Bob's flat feet return him to civvie street is one of TV comedy's great moments. I'll watch it for years to come !
