"She was a perfect doll. Now she's the real thing." - Typical sugary American rubbish. Non existent plot, very poor acting and dialogue, but if you are a little girl that likes dolls then it just might hit it's target audience.

TRYING TO DEAL WITH THE DEATH OF HER MOM-CASEY (LOHAN) SEEKS OTHER MEANS IN ORDER TO COMFORT HERSLEF IN HER GRIEF. WHEN SHE HEADS DOWN TO HER LOCAL BOOK STORE AND PICKS UP A BOOK ABOUT RESURRECTING THE DEAD, THE SPELL SHE CASTS UNSURPRISINGLY FALTERS. CASEY'S GIVEN AN 'EVE' DOLL FOR HER BIRTHDAY (COZ EVERY GIRL WANTS A DOLL RIGHT?) AND BEGINS TO CASTS HER SPELL ONLY TO BE INTERUPTED BY HER FATHERS CO-WORKER. CASEY IS FUMED WHEN HER MOM'S PRECIOUS ITEMS ARE TAMPERED WITH , CASEY STOMPS OFF WHILST DAD'D FRIEND GROOMS EVE. AFTER ALL IS DONE AND CASEY'S ALONE SHE TRIES THE SPELL ONLY TO WAKE UP THE FOLLOWING MORNING TO DISCOVER 'EVE' IS NOW HUMAN (!)

ALTHOUGHT THE PLOT IS STUPIDLY FICTIONAL THE ACTING COULD HAVE BEEN GREATLY IMPROVED ESPECIALLY FROM LOHAN. MS BANKS ON THE OTHER HAND IS DISATSERTOUS TO SAY THE LEAST AND ONLY GAIN AN OUNCE OF CREDIBILITY NEARER THE END OF THE FILM. LIFE-SIZE IS A TYPICAL DISNEY FAMILY MOVIE, BUT BE WARNED ADULTS WATCHING WILL CRINGE AT THE BEST OF TIMES WHILST THE YOUNGSTERS WILL PROBABLY FIND THIS SLIGHTLY MORE ENTERTAINING. DONT EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM THIS FILM YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. OVERALL, ITS JUST OK.

My daughter and her friends love this film, a young Linsdey Lohan is very good in this. Tyra Banks is...ok.
A girly film, that's well worth watching.

l bought this for my daughter,its about a young girl`s toy that turns out to be a truly living doll.sad and lonely after the death of her mothers,casey would do anything to see her again.but when a series of mystic mishapes mistakenly brings her fashion doll to life instead,it changes casey`s world forever.you will not be disappointed

A rare tomboyish role here for current Hollywood glamour girl Lindsay Lohan, whose strongly sympathetic, emotional and believable performance is by far the greatest asset of an otherwise fairly average Disney slushfest; the cloying story of a doll come to life who educates stuffy lawyers about the importance of fun will jar even with most kids, let alone adults. I was also uncomfortable with the idea that young Lindsay necessarily needs to join the local group of mall-obsessed fashionistas in order to be a happy well-adjusted individual- the very antithesis of the message articulated in later Lohan masterpiece 'Mean Girls'.

It's well worth seeing this film for the excellent performance of its young star, but don't expect too much from the rest of its content. There are no extras on the DVD.

it was ok, i wanted to see it because im a fan of lindsey lohan but it was a bit too plastic and shallow for me, did make you feel good in the end and is a good film to watch, but maybe only once lol.

If you like the kind of film that makes a little girls wishes turn into something funny and makes you a cry a bit and laugh too, then this is the film for you. It stars Lindsey Lohan and Tyra Banks amoung other good actors and actresses. Not to give away too much of the plot, but a little girl lives with her father, and her mother has died. She wishes that her mum could come back and does a spell, however it goes wrong and a toy doll becomes life size and a real woman...and roll on the laughter and tears.

A VERY GOOD MOVIE WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL, VERY FUNNY, BUY IT FOR YOURSELF & SEE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. THANK YOU.

i biught this as my other half is a mad disney fan, she has vitually all the dvds and has just about seen them all, i buy her ones that are at reasonable prices or cheap to buy rather than rent.

it were a good film made kids be quiet for hour and a half. well worth a few quid i say.

this film is about a girl who has this book to bring her mum back to life with a spell using her mums hair brush with a lock of her hair on it but a woman from her dads work gets her a doll and brushes its hair with that brush and the doll comes to life instead

my daughter loves this dvd its a typical girlie film would reccomend it to any one who loves a good girlie film
