Album Notes My Chemical Romance: Gerard Way (vocals); Ray Toro, Frank Iero (guitar); Mikey Way (bass guitar); Bob Bryar (drums).By early 2006, fans of the melodic screamo outfit My Chemical Romance were waiting on tenterhooks for a follow-up to the band's 2004 debut, THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE. Rather than giving the people exactly what they want, the band delivered a three-disc audio-visual stopgap release packed with live performances and videos. While there's no new material, the release is a veritable treasure trove of material designed to please their devoted following. The audio CD includes demos, one previously unreleased track, and eight ferocious live performances of some of the band's best tunes. One of the DVDs features videos, TV appearances, and tons of live footage, while the other is a video diary that delivers interviews with the band and behind-the-scenes footage. Elaborately packaged, LIFE ON THE MURDER SCENE may seem like opportunistic marketing to some, but MCR fanatics will find much here to cherish. Editorial Reviews Rolling Stone | |||||||||||||
Reviews it was brilliant fast delivery brilliant quality fantastic condition and a great product overall amazing!! Review ID: 10000000008499625 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 27/07/08 by: Being a huge fan of My Chemical Romance, this was the only album I had yet to buy. And I'm still not sure if it was worth the money or not. Don't get me wrong, the band themselves can play well live and there are a lot of extras on this DVD/CD package. However, the main annoyance with this album is Gerard Way's singing voice. He skips words, spends half his time gulping for breath and, worst of all, cannot sing for toffee live. Whereas the rest of the band lived up to expectations and added a few nice extras to songs, Gerrard was the big let down of this album. Review ID: 10000000008095785 Was this review helpful? For serious fans only, this shows the band are a genuine bunch of guys who've hit the bigtime but really don't seem to realise it. They still remain very grounded. Most enjoyable and love them to bits. PS I may be their oldest fan at 48! Review ID: 10000000005971511 Was this review helpful? It includes live versions of Helena, im not ok (I promise), give em' hell kid as well as two previously unreleased tracks. The set also contains 2 DVD’s with a video diary and live performances. A great addition for any MCR fan. Review ID: 10000000005204914 Was this review helpful? Report this review I bought this item, because my daughter loves My Chemical Romance. It was very important to her to get this, and seen from that point of view I do believe it is a very fine DVD and very good music. I have to say, that I have not seen the DVD myself, also because it is ment to be a cristmas present, so I have not given it to her yet, although she knows I have bought it for her.
