License To Wed (DVD)

Great film starring Robin Williams,Mandy Moore and John Krasinski. The eager couple want to marry but the Reverand Frank played by Robin Williams sets them loads of tasks to see if they are worthy to wed each other.It's like boot camp and drives them mad.This is a romantic comedy but very hilarious film, well worth buying with out a doubt.I decided to buy this film as a friend had told me how funny it is.

I saw this movie the day it came out and walked out of the theater loving this movie! The characters were fun and relate-able and the plot was refreshing from all the super hero movies and all the sappy dramas that have come out this summer. John Krasinski did a great job being a character different from Jim Halpert(The Office). Mandy Moore's character stress with the wedding plans, building her flower business, and trying to succeed in seemingly pointless tasks. Robin Williams broke his curse of failing comedies with this movie, I genuinely laughed whenever his character made a joke (And trust me it takes a lot to make me laugh so hard that i might cry). All in all this was a great, funny, and light hearted movie that is too predictable or too sappy. I say go see it with a group of friend, family, or a loved one, sit back, relax, and enjoy!


Robin Williams career has definitely gone done in the last few years but starting with Man of the Year and then this Robin Williams is definitely back on track movie wise. This movie is about two young people about to get married but before the wedding have to go through a test to see if they are right for each other. The movie is laugh a minute and I think that even though this movie is not exactly ever going to be in the top 250 it is a must watch for fans of such movies as Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers. Overall this movie is a must watch and I loved it is is good to just sit down and relax after a long hard week of work. I rate this comedy 74% and I hope Robin Williams next movie is as good as this.

Wow, this is one of the best Romantic Comedys i have seen in a long time! I would recomend this film to my friends!

I Sold 2 boxes of DVDs and that was advertised in 1 Box but I put it in the wrong Box so I had to buy it for the customer as I had advertised it in my DVD List.

I bought this as I am quite a fan of Robin Williams,the film started off well,really quite funny,but unfortunatley,it didn't stay that way,I tought it got really silly,didn't see the end,I fell asleep,says it all!!!!

Robin Williams at his righteous best. He has this couple, wishing to wed, jumping through some very strange hoops. Even down to surveillance in the bedroom!
Unfortunately, Robin Williams is the only reason to watch this film, the others comic timing fell far short of his genious.
If your a Williams fan you will enjoy, otherwise this film maybe a little lackluster.

Williams tries to break a couple with his tasks he has asked them to do and then when he manages it, he tries his best to get them back together, really not worth your time!!

I bought this DVD as I thought it would be a good comedy and quite relevant considering my hubby is a minister! However, it wasn't as good as we had hoped - this was not Robin Williams at his best. Apart from a few funny moments, it tended to be rather lacking in true humour. Worth a watch once, but probably wouldn't keep the movie to watch again.
