A fine collection of Pete and Carls amazing lyrics. The only problem is that the boys are no longer together anymore to produce amazing poetry put to music. They are undoubtedly one of the best musicians of our time with original meaningful lyrics. You'd be a fool not to by this age defining album.

This is a great cd. I have had it in my car for ages but im still not bored of it. It has a real feel good vibe. Such a shame the band are no longer together. If you are into indie music i would reccomend it to all.

The libs in my personal opinion, the best band ever!
This album is really really good... but not quite as good as Up the Bracket... but it's still a 5* album!
The partnership the pete and carl have on this and their other album is uncompairable!

I liked some libertines songs that have been played on the radio, so i decided to get the album off E-Bay. It only cost around £5.00, so it wasn't a great loss if it was crap. But on listening to the album, it is actually quite good, apart from a couple of songs.....but 12 out of 14 tracks is not bad, is it!

For me this is the best album out of the 2. It took something highly special to beat their first album and this baby did. Listen to it and savour the pure emotion and from highs to lows, the cd has it all, If you dont own this cd i beleive it to be one of the best of the new millenium.

) fantastic album, a must for any collection, probably one of the most influential bands of our generation. This album is a masterpiece along with up the bracket. so glad i managed to get this album back. Anyone who loves music with a touch of punk should most def listen to the libertines as if youve never heard any of their stuff your missing out!!!!! Its a pity that the band are now more famous for pete than their brilliant music.

I Love This CDI must addmit that i didn't like this band in there 15 minutes but now i can say this is a great album.They sound like they practiced for about an hour before they went into the studio but the loose sound makes the experience even better.Its that going to fall apart feeling you get listening to the tracks that make this a pleasure.I suppose this is the way they live ther lives refected in the sound .Im going to take a chance on there solo stuff in the future.

lets get one thing straight i am a huge fan of the libertines, i own every song every recorded, demos,live ect and i thought of up the bracket as transcending beyond any words the english language could muster yet despite all this i give there second effort 3.5/10
many of the songs seem to have been rushed, tombalands, campaign of hate, the saga, road to ruin, which all seem to bring aHUGE drop in lyrical standard for the lads as wellas a repeated sound throughout these songs
though the album does have its high points like the popular cantstand me know, music when the lights goout, the ha ha wall and what became of the likely lads as well as one there most under-rated and lyrically triumphant efforts the man whowould be king.
so overall buy it but first buy up the bracket
sorry for the speedy review i simply cant be bothered writing a 1200 word eassy
