Leona Lewis - Spirit (CD 2007)

I think that Leona Lewis is a great talent. This album has unfortunately has the feel of a OAP afternoon cabaret. The keyboards detract from what could be a fine album. leona's voice seems to come second place with the keyboard's annoyingly loud growling. It seems a shame that having taken so long to produce that Leona's been let down by such shoddy musicianship

What can I say, debut album, Leona Lewis has created on the masterpieces which continue the soul of music. This is a great CD and well worth listening to!

First saw Leona on the X Factor but i have to admit back then i thought she'd be just another one hit wonder,but i was proved wrong.I heard Bleeding Love on a music channel and instantly loved the song.The lyrics and the melody showcase Leona's amazing vocal range.I brought the whole album after hearing just the debut but i loved every song.Take A Bow is another strong ballad with emotional lyrics,Homeless reminds me of a Whitney Houston style ballad with captivating lyrics and Better In Time is a slice of pop at it's very best.If you like Whitney Houston and Mariah i'm sure you'll love this.Overall it's a must for your collection! 10/10

She deserved to win X Factor. This album shows why. Great range of songs. The highlight is footprints - enough to bring tears!

Leona Lewis is something of an anomaly. She has come along way since those distant memories of the great 'X' Factor.

Not only is she pretty and endowed with a voice, she’s also a committed vegetarian and one of the few X Factor winners not to immediately try to capitalise on her success with an album of weak covers. They dont usually make the cut but this one has.

There’s no doubt Leona Lewis is a real talent.

The whole cd is absolutely fantastic there are no tracks that i dislike. Well worth the wait for this album, i only hope that it doesn't take another year for her next album. Highly recommeded

Bought it via ebay as it was retailing for around £9 and purchased including postage for £5 via Ebay.

Fabulous album, stunning voice, heartfelt lyrics - what more could you want?
Probably appreciated more by females and sensitive types, but also reflects emotions felt by everybody at some time in their lives - as long as they've been in love of course !!!

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM.
As the only song any good on it is 'Bleeding Love' her other released since are failing on youtube in comparison to her first release.
I can't understand why the album is titled 'Spirit' because there's none of that here

Simon Cowell has well and truly manufactured and sold this girl out to the extremes

MY ADVICE: BUY THE AMY WINEHOUSE BACK TO BLACK CD this is a true British Talent even writes her own songs!

Having watched this young lady rise to fame on i believe the X factor , having enjoyed music since my childhood , i was amazed and elated to find we had personally speaking a british singer who's voice rose to meet that of whitney houston.
I had high expectations for her first cd and was not by any means disappointed.

This CD is excellent has all of her latest songs on fantastic to listen to. The whole family enjoy listening to this! From Gran to teenage Son.

Fabulous CD - Fabulous Singer - Great Songs
Leona Lewis winner of the X Factor has made her first Album a winner the songs are all wonderful and it is a great CD to listern to any where in the car or at home.
She has already had a Number One Top Selling Single and with so many great songs she is sure to have more hit singles with this Album.

Both my daughter and I really like this album. Leona is a great singer and deserves a lot of success. I would recommend this CD to everyone who enjoys a strong female vocalist.

Leona's voice is pitch perfect and certainly raised my spirit. The follow up songs to the lastest single will be in the charts soon

I decided to buy this CD because I really liked the track that was released in the charts. The album is actually a disappointment, there are only 2 tracks that are worth listening too, so probably would have been better off not buying the album.

I bought is album because i watch the X Factor and followed Leona through the programme. To begin with i didn't like the album, but it actually grew on me.

This is an amazing CD powerfully sung by one of the greatest singers ever. Leona sings with passion, holding nothing back from the listener. Every song this young lady sings brings goosebumps of delight. The entire album is a tribute to her skill and the dexterity of her voice. Not one track on this album is a disappointment. I cannot recommend it highly enough. One hundred per cent pleasure in one album.

For a first album, in my opinion very good. The girl can certainly sing & sometimes I hear a Streisand/Whitney sound coming through. I normally wouldn't buy from a singer like this - (young!!!) but I really enjoyed it!

She has a very good voice. Some good songs on the album but her voice is somewhat drowned out on occassion with the music. She will make a few albums no doubt, but not a particularly long lasting career !
