Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events (DVD)

My children are 12 and 10 and this is exactly what they wanted,kids love it. I would not recommend it for younger children.

A Lovely Well Adapted film for All the Family!
Staring 3 Orphan Children who are to live with their Estranged and Nasty Uncle Count Olaf who's only interest is in getting his Dirty Hands on the Childrens Fortune. The Children are pasted on to Other Relatives but Count Olaf is always Close with yet another idea on how to gain Guardianship of the Children.
Will these 3 Very Clever Orphans get their own back and Claim what is Rightfully theirs???
My 6 & 9 Year Old Daughters really like this Film and they have watched it Many Times Over!

I have watched this dvd so many times with my children and we never get sick of it the story line is truely gripping the poor young Baudelaire children are thrown into a world of greed and decent mostly from thier `Uncle Olaf` who only wants their fortune thet have following the untimely death of their parents.You are gripped as the stay together through all the bad times and set out to prove that the Count is an evil man who will stop at nothing to get their money.Highly recommended to those families who love to snuggle up and watch a great film on a night time.Jim Carey is fab in his role as the Count also features Meryl Streep and Billy Connolly.

Rented the film and loved it, the subject is about child abuse and the adult reaction to it from a childs perspective....and done but not overdone so well, "brilliant", get a bid in!!!

This film is an excellent. I absolutely love it. The kind of film you watch over again. Great storyline and is great for all the family. Must see. Jim Carrey is great as count olaf

I loved this product it is a very good film. I wanted to buy it as i had read the first 3 books by Lemony Snicket which this film was based on.

This is a very exciting/intriqing family film - a definiate watch! The books are even better and are in much much more detail.

Bought this dvd on a whim as daughter loves the books and has the book of the film.
She loves the dvd!! She sat glued to this from beginning to end and then watched it again!!!

What a brilliant film. Myself, my husband and my 8 year old daughter loved it. We saw it last year on the TV and I thought I would buy it for her for Christmas. We were so excited when it arrived that we just watched it there and then! A very early Christmas present. If you like Tim Burton films, this is your thing. Similar in style - dark, a bit scary and very, very funny.

Kids enjoyed the film, although it jumps over more than one of the books. Hasn't stopped them from watching it several times!

I brought it because I have all the books.
I saw it once on tv and thought, because I liked it, I would get the DVD.

i bought this dvd because my daugther loves the books. The movie itself is also quite entertaining. 3 wealthy orphened children have to stick together as they are passed around family members trying to find suitible family members to live with, only each family member is alittle strange to say the least and their mad uncle is after their futune and will stop at nothing to get it!

Good honest family movie, great for children and adults alike. My kids loved the books and the first film did not disappoint. We will be watching this one again & again.

I am writing a review on the Lemony Snicket dvd that I bought from Ebay a few weeks ago. I first thought of buying this item because I had been recently reading the Lemony Snicket books. I was watching Ebay for quite a long time but finially won. One reason that I wanted to buy this dvd is because I had seen the movie but wanted to see it again. Another reason is that when I had seen the dvd I thought that the casting had been chosen really well. I have now watched the dvd over a hundred times!!!
I hope that you will continue to sell these items and I hope people will enjoy it as much as I did.

arrived very quickly a good fa ily film brought for my sister who enjoys watching it and dislikes nothing about it!

I bought it because my Grandson wanted it. We looked for one, saw it and bid for it. Won it and he is very pleased with it.

This is without doubt one of the best family films ever made. It has a loveable villain and a caring family. If you ejoy non stop breath taking black comedy humor, this is one for you.

The old copy went missing! the kids were irritable and unhappy! they just had to have a copy of this timeless classic. Reading the book at bedtime was an unbelievable fantasy, the DVD format with all these spot on characters,and special effects, Jim Carrey with his wonderful facial expressions and body language, baby sunny, (you have to watch closely so as not to miss the little quirky moments).if the kids are happy and occupied then they are quiet and well behaved.

Actors good, filming good, but the whole thing for me seemed to lack something.
It could be scary for small children and would take some understanding.
I had read reviews of it being excellent but, although I would probably watch it again, I wouldn't be bothered if I never did.

A brilliant film and a must for anyones collection. A family film in a 'weird' way, but definately worth it. Jim Carey is always good, but it was great to see him in these strange roles for a change. Hope there's a sequal.

Good old fashioned family adventure film in the vein of Return to Oz and The Never Ending Story - Perfect for Big kids and children alike! Billy Conelly and Carrey and Strep are all excellent and the children are truly superb.Highly reccomended escapism.
