User friendly camera.
Small size, can be carried everywhere and unobtrusively.
Not very high pixel count but good enough for printing upto 5"X7".
Optical viewfinder is a bonus.
LCD is sharp except when out in bright sunlight.
Overall good picture quality.
Above all LEICA red dot.

The D Lux 3 is a 10 megapixel camera & not as one reviewer has it.
It is compact with intuitive controls making it easy even for beginners.
With image stabilisation & a large LCD screen.
The 16:9 widescreen format is great for any pic needing a wide field of view & you will be surprised how often this is great. The high pixel count mean that you do not need to 'turn the camera' for a portrait shot but crop it later.
The Leica lens is crisp yet balanced & faithful. Wonderful pics.
Set the ISO to 100 or 200 & you will NEVER be disappointed with a shot. Why go higher anyway ? Too much is made of ISO. You will not be disappointed.

D-Lux Leica
) i bought this camera for 90.00 because of my restricted finances.it has an option of digital or optical view finder.i find it easy to use because of my age.although it has only 3.3 mega pixels it gives excellent results up to A 4
