I'd been after this box set for ages, but found that they rarely surfaced on eBay. When I checked other online sites, the average selling price tended to be around the £50 mark which I wasn't really willing to pay for a 1990 release. However, I noticed this set for sale just before Christmas with a very low starting price so I kept an eye on it in my 'watched items' before putting in a bid of around £20 which was enough to win it for me. I hoped it would be good, but it has really exceeded my expectations! You get 54 tracks, all remastered, including a good few rarities - and a number of classics that were criminally omitted from the 2-disc box set, such as 'When The Levee Breaks' and 'Riverside Blues'. There is also a superb colour booklet charting the bands history and full discography. Most of the photos are ones I've never seen before and the middle of the booklet opens out to display a nice collage of band pictures, including two full page posters of Page and Plant. Many people are recommending the recent 'Mothership' release, but this box set is far more comprehensive (although you can get the special edition 'Mothership' with DVD extras). If, like myself, you have a 4 or 5 disc CD player, I recommend putting all 4 discs in and pressing your 'shuffle' button - pure bliss! I really have no bad things to say about this release and feel I've picked up a bargain. Of course, you don't get any DVD extras, but there are a few Led Zep DVD sets floating around that you can pick up for little more than £10 these days, so that's no great loss as far as I'm concerned. I'd highly recommend this release, whether you're a long-term Led Zep fan, or a recent convert. Best £20 odd quid I've spent in ages.
