I bought this to improve on my oil painting. I was disapointed to find that it did not show a step by step guide or the entire painting.

I love his no nonsense style of getting a message over to the student without the step by step approach, his clever and relevant commentary is enough to make you get the paint's out immediately after viewing the dvd.

I bought this for my wife who has recently taken up painting. Now I want to try as well.. As I watched the video I thought " Maybe I could do that". I cant draw to save my but this video gave me hope that perhaps I can paint. It opened up a whole new way of looking at things. He says "Paint what you see-not what you think you see". And he shows you how. Super!

This dvd is more suitable for people who are on intermedia level of painting. the begginers might find it hard to follow this lesson. however, fan of bob ross paintings will find absolutely different techneque of oil painting in this dvd. there are more precise details, used thicker lays of oil paints on it. the final result is visible only at the end, during process the painting looks more like a mess and the artist must know exactly what he is going to do next.
