Laughter With A Bang (CD)

If you dont mind a bit of general coarse humour, but not on the harshness of Roy Chubby Brown or Bernard Manning, well Blaster bates is the perfect listening companion to any journey or as some light hearted easy listening to drag you away from the telly for a while. His anecdotes about his career as an explosives expert and demolition man, preferring his methods of flattening chimney stacks with dynamite and a cordite fuse will keep the chuckles going for ages afterwards. His career took him from one end of the country to the other and his many escapades vary from meagre tree stumps, underground tunnel blasting to the more impressive chimney stacks.
A character not to be missed, his own individuality shines through his jokes and stories, not to be forgotten.

Well worth a copy to keep on a shelf.

Lost my old records of Blaster bates. Saw they were available on E-Bay. More important they were on CD. It was good to hear this funny disc again and to know I can buy more is great. I will certainly be buying more Blaster Bates in future. I give this product exelent as I think it was worth waiting for. Thank you E-Bay

I purchased this for my father, but the contents are timeless and funny to anyone with a down to earth sense of humour.

Blaster Bates is the best thing since sliced bread. My hubby has wanted all his CD's for a long time (he had them on tape)and now he can listen to them when he wants. I purchased them as a pre-birthday present for him. Very satisfied customer.

Learnt about Blaster Bates from my father and grandfather some 20 years ago. He is an explosives and demolition expert similar in era to the steepljack Fred Dibhah, but dont play this one to your mum or grannie, his anglo saxon language will put pay to that.
Blaster Bates is I beleive a Lancastrian with a wealth of experiance in his field and his cd,s consist of his stories and memories spread over many years, told in a slow but very humerous manner.
Take a listen, his dialect is strong but you will be splitting your sides at his stories.

Blaster Bates has long been a favourite of mine but records get worn so I bought the CDs.
I found a generation who had not even heard of Blaster, they now wish they could hear more.
The product is as good as the originals, I just wish the Old Man was around to make more.
By the standards of the day the content was shocking, but by todays standards it is mild, but so terribly funny, even as his descriptions of useing explosives in everyday life are terrifying to health and safety today, my generation accepted that type of thing and if the Blaster had all his fingers he was OK.Blasters response to opening applause has always stood me in good stead, "Thanks for the clap, I've been avoiding it all of my life".

When I was aa teenager, and still living at home, I can recall there being some Blaster Bates records which I used to listen to.

I could just about recall some of the stories he told and wondered if there may be some up to date cd versions of the records, and found some, made the purchase.

I am so pleased with the purchase as they not only still make me laught, but, they also bring back some happy memories.

ihad a vinal lp of blaster bates about thirty yarss ago and lent it to one of my friends and never got it back so when i saw it on cd i brought it it brought back a lot of memories fred

At long last I've managed to find a CD version of my old grandfathers LP. Laugh a minute. Working class humour at it's best.

Had this on tape until worn out, now I can listen forever. Fantastic!!! In the words of Blaster ' A quick thrutch, BOOM!!! and thats Bloody Marvelous'.

Heard it on tape years ago and its just as funny as I remember it.Thats of course if you have a similar sense of humour!This cd was very good value.
