Ladysmith Black Mambazo - The Best Of Ladysmith Black Mambazo (The Star And The Wiseman) (CD 1998)

I like African music in general and the Ladysmith Black Mambazo in particular. They have lovely strong voices that can carry you into another domain and realm. Their music can soothe a weary soul and can encourage and inspire you in your life's journey whether you are achristian or not but even more so if you are a believer. The voices blend in a special way to create a phenominal harmony of male voice the like of which have been unequaled by any other group or musicians to date.

I missed buying Ladysmith Black Mambazo tapes/cds when they were popular a few years ago, so was delighted when I discovered their music was still around. I like different styles of music from different countries and didn't have anything like this African music in my collection. The harmonies are very special and unique. It's easy to listen to as back-ground music, but does get a bit repetative and boring after a while. I'm glad I now have this in my collection, but probably won't be buying any more of the same.

I DECIDED TO BUY IT AS I LOVE THEIR MUSIC AND DIDN'T ALREADY HAVE THIS ALBUM, I'VE THROUGHLY ENJOYED LISTENING TO TRACKS I'D NEVER HEARD BEFORE, PLUS SOME OLD FAVOURITES, GREAT FOR RELAXING TOO, PRICE WAS GOOD INCLUDING P&P CHARGES AND IT WAS SENT QUITE QUICKLY.

We went to see these live in March and the show was great - the CD is better as there is more variety in it and some very good duos - teaming up with Dolly Parton on one track and she doesnt even get a mention on the CD cover! ... good listening for that type of music.

I decided to buy it because I lost my previous copy. Ladysmith Black Mambazo was my dad's favourite group. I have always listened to their music since I was little. Being Southern African, I understand the music and brings back a lot of memories. There is nothing I dislike about it, I love it.

I really like this the music, it was bought as a birthday present for my nephew who thoughtit was an excellent CD

A Great selection of alternative calming music. Great arrangement and simple to follow music. This selection of music is great for stress relief or driving or even background music.

Fantastic voices. Great songs. Elton John and Dolly Parton are two of the artists that Ladysmith Black Mambazo sing alongside - in two song. Its totally well worth the money!!!
