Jim Henson, the creator of 'The Muppets', has created a team of 'punk muppets' especially for this film. With the added filming skill of George Lucas and the script by Mony Python's Terry Jones you can expect to be in for a treat!
PLOT
Sarah, played by Jennifer Connelly is upset to have been made to baby sit her younger brother and wishes him away. The goblin bad guy, played by David Bowie, grants her wish.
Sarah soon regrets her actions and vows to get him back. The bulk of this film is of her leading a hellish and at times surreal journey to retrieve him.
David Bowie has one particularly surreal sixties acid moment in the film where they leave the plot and the planet!
RESULT
The film is a cross between the Muppet show and Alice in wonderland. Any child would enjoy the puppetry and the humour in this film, although little ones out there may need counselling through the scarier parts of the film.
If you get the chance to watch this film, try playing spot the real or puppet 'Dulux' dog.
