This vacuum is incredibly well designed, came 2nd in Good Housekeeping magazines tests. The on off power/ suction variation switch is on the handle so you don't need to bend down to switch it on or adjust it to different surfaces. Plays a tune when you plug it in ( a bit cheesy) and also to tell you when it is full and needs emptying.
Suction is incredible. As a Dyson DC05 owner for the past 9 years I did not expect to be impressed much as they are pretty good. This is so much, much better, my carpets after 1 session look a different colour. It picks up pet hair very well, something which the Dyson was not good at as I had to go over with a clothes brush afterwards. This removes all. It is slightly harder work but this is only because the suction is so good.
Comes with a useful turbobrush for the stairs, crevice tool and neatly designed upholstery tool which retracts into a brush when needed.
It looks very complicated but is very easy to use and there are no bags to buy. The dust compression is a good innovation as normally I would have to empty after one use and only two tiny compartments have been used in the LG and not quite so messy to empty. The only thing I really miss is onboard tool storage and it is feels a bit heavier and more awkward to cart up the stairs. I also feel that perhaps because of all the nifty design features there is more to go wrong but I thought that with the Dyson and it lasted 9 years.
