LG 42PX3RV 42 in. EDTV-Ready TV

I bought this Faulty 42" LG Plasma because I have the same model TV but one of my circuit boards was faulty and I had been quoted over £200 for a replacement part from LG.

Therefore, I bought the same model TV from E-bay which had a different fault (in this instance, a smashed screen) and used the required part to repair my TV. It only cost me £60 including driving to Birmingham to pick it up.

Now I have a working TV and another thats has lots more good Spare Parts still inside.

One drawback is finding somewhere to store the spare as the missus does not like it in the house :-(

I bought this for a gymnastics club which I am involved with. We have just refurbished the cafe at the gym and wanted a large screen, yet inexpensive tv we could put in the cafe for parents and youngsters to watch whilst waiting for the gymnasts. Although this was a 2nd hand set, the picture quality is pretty good and there are plenty of connections at the back as we have it linked up to a satellite, dvd player and a computer so we can put announcements on it for the parents. The days of the old fashioned pin board are nearly redundant!

It was quite heavy but a set this size would be and there wasn't a remote with it when we got it but I found a brand new one online for only £12 so no big deal. Overall I think we got very good value for money.
