Kooks - Inside In/Inside Out (CD 2006)

The album opens with the slow seaside track and then bursts into life with the second track, it then follows this trend for over half the album ending in some more slower tracks that finish off the album well.

A good easy listening indie album...

This is the best album I have bought this year. Impressed by acoustic sound of album and lively tones. Highly recommend it if you're into your Kaisers, Razorlight, Killers etc.

Basically, i dont like much modern music. Most i find is commercialised bland rubbish, with loads of studio tweaking and poor musicianship. This album, in my opninion, is one of the best of recent times. Lets go through the standout tracks in my opinion:

1: Seaside. Quite frankly i cant imagine a much better opener. this is emotive and enjoyable, and quite sad if youve already got the blues im sure!
3: Sofa song: This is great to dance to at parties and the lyrics and first guitar solo are very happy (theres no other way to describe it).
5: Ooh la: Just catchy
6: You dont love me: Slightly too indie but the first part of the song especially is catchy nd fun.
7: She moves in her own way: Most peoples tout for the gest song on the album i think, and i would agree, wonderful lyrics, catchy, summery and a good guitar solo too.
8: Matchbox: Quite odd in my opinion but one of my favourite tracks on the album
9: Naive: Overplayed on the radio but still a wonderful song that will ahve you singing along throughout
13: Time Awaits: The only of the latter songs that i really like, this is amazing and the in/out phasing guitar at the end puts me in mind that things are going to be big for this band in the future

Overall, this album is not my usual taste in music. im not really an indie fan (i dont liek babyshambles, libertines, aric monkeys etc) and yet this is my kind of album - it shows that there are great things to come and that the singer has a great maturity especially. Im a massive skynyrd, zeppelin and lizzy fan, and yet this will certainly be played by me alot!!!

the kooks rock, why wouldnt i buy it its great, the cd is just as stated played in full and of sound quality what more could an ebayer ask for

it was a gift for my daughter who thinks they are out of this world.yes i will be buyfng from this seller a gaine .what they say is what you get .and it was on time for her 18 birthday so that maid it more worthwile yes i would recamend .the tracks are brileant me i had no ida who they were now i am starting to like them. thanks so much s clarke

Very good album to chill to. Grt your mates round and put this on, impress everybody with some great summer pop tunes.

Hearing Naive and You Don't Love Me, i just had to get the album and hear what others they had to offer. It's a great album, easy to listen to and perfect for summer - as background music to a bbq perhaps. My one criticism would be that it all sounds a bit similar, but there's nothing wrong with that if you like all the songs! Would recommend it ****

I bought this CD after having listened to and become familiar with many of the songs on the album and liking them enough to want to buy the album. I have no regrets whatsoever about my purchase of this CD - I love the music and the album is one of my favourites, and would have happily paid full price for it (I paid a reduced price over eBay for a second-hand CD).

originally brought this for my partner as it was an album she'd had an had stolen but must confess have quiet enjoyed listening to it myself also great album for haveing in the car on long journeys etc

Without doubt this is a catchy album with some good pop tracks (not bad for a first effort) but I have more than a sneaking suspicion that my CD will be played to death for a month and then forgotten after that. That's a real shame as there is much to like about the music which is really quite entertaining. However there is not a great deal of depth to the album and this is reflected in the basic lyrical content, which seems largely to repeat the same verse continuously (possibly why all the tracks are so short!!).

Ultimately I've found the album a bit like a Hollywood blockbuster. Great if you're not looking anything demanding but not much use if you're after something a bit more inspiring or thought provoking. So in short buy this album if you want something for the drive to work but not if you want a classic.

An AMazing album,I just cant get enough of hearing it.Most definatley been the best album Ive brought this year.It certainly kept me alert whilst travelling down the moterway and sitting in boring traffic.The baby loved the first song on the album and the seventh.A definate must buy for all age groups.Well maybe not the oldies,Although I think they would quite like the seaside song.

Is a really good collection of songs that compliment one another well. Not one song i would skip through if i were to play the CD through. I decided to buy it because a few of the songs are really hard to download and some i couldn't download album songs they were more like live samples - not very good to listen to on your ipod on the bus!! This CD can be bought for a really decent price on eBay compared to in the shops. A really good bargain, really pleased with the CD and i would recommend it to any indie music fan!

Any Kooks CD is excellent but a CD in such good condition as this 1 is a bonus. Although the inside in inside out album isn't quite as good as the new album "Konk" it makes a great a listen.

This album is bursting with energy. What you get with this is music that sounds great, even on repeat, and a band that is also highly likeable. Its a long journey cd for the car and its always on in mine. This album features some great songs ("Sofa Song" is great) and I would recommend it to everyone. It seems suitable for any mood or occasion. With that praise that this deserves I believe that it gets a 4 star rating and is a deffo buy.

Love the catchy rhythm and lyrics of the Kooks. Luke's voice is distinct and sexy.
Feel good music that is good to put on if you want to sing along or cheer up with.
Had old knackered copy, so decided to buy the original. Pride of place in my collection.

this is another great album that came out of 2006, it includes all the great singles they put out and also contains alot of other great songs.
it is one of my most enjoyable albums i own, it has ranges of sounds and can have up beat songs and quite slow songs, all songs have catchy melodies and catchy chorus's that make them stick in your head and make you want to listen again and again, which is in my opinion good.
all or most songs contain acoustic driven sound some songs are full electric.
there isnt a bad song on the album in my opinion.

I really like the fact that i won this great album for less than what i would have payed on the highstreet..it was in excellent and as new condition. One could say perfect. I loved most of the tracks on this album and think it is one of the best i have purchased all year. I disliked nothing about my purchase. I decided to buy it to save a little money and postage was going to be faster than me trailing around the shops one night after work.

Quite a good album. Some good tunes in there, tho a little repetative. I would still buy it tho. Im gonna give this 4/5
