Kodak EasyShare Z1012 IS Digital Camera

Having struggled with my first digital camera after years of owning SLRs my early impressions of this camera are good and it should help revive my interest in photography. I did not want to lug around a bulky camera with numerous lenses and was looking for a bridge camera to get me started again. A tight budget was also a factor in deciding upon the Kodak but having said that I feel that it is much more superior than the price tag would indicate and has features one would expect in a far more expensive camera. It is light weight and the screen is very clear when reviewing pictures. I wanted a camera that I could look through a view finder as I have difficulty operating from the viewing screen particularly in the wrong lighting conditions and this is where a bridge camera is far more superior to a compact. The only niggle is the positioning of the zoom rocker switch. Other than that I am well pleased with the pictures I have taken.

Just a short review for this item, Build quality is spot on, it's very well laid out and very easy to use as a point and shoot camera if that's what you're looking for but there's also plenty of scope to get more involved with your photography if you feel the need. The LCD screen is more than ample if slightly fuzzy but don't let this put you off as the picture quality is superb even at full zoom, there is plenty of info on the screen and the menu is very simple to scroll through and change if you need to. All in all it's a superb camera that represents exelent value for money that i would recommend to anyone looking to but a new digital camera. A very impressive piece of kit for the price.

Brilliant camera, the auto focus and other various settings can even make the most ammeteur photographer look like an artistic genius. battery life is good, and in total is worth the cost.

This camera has quick automatic focusing; it comes in a smaller yet more practical size against other cameras in its category. The 10.1 mega pixels allow you to zoom in close on photos and still get amazing detail. It comes with an easy to use guide that allows even the most amateur photographer to understand and take semi-professional photographs.

The problem with the camera is very close range shots are sometimes extremely hard to focus and the automatic focus will keep changing trying to focus but having no luck. But for photographs of scenes or people this camera is very good and very easy to use.

I needed a new camera and i like the look of it. The zoom is superb and the 10 megapixel swung it. I have had lots of use out of it so far best camera i've ever had.

Bought this product not knowing it was refurbished. Product was "out of stock "so it took a week to receive it. Had the camera for 11 days when I started to have power problems. I have had an Easyshare camera before with the same problem so was upset when new Ultimate batteries took 5 pictures before camera would not switch on. Went and had the batteries tested and they registered at 1.49v each. This should have been enough to switch the camera on. Got hold of the supplier via ebay and they told me to contact Kodak UK. Lengthy telephone call later I have had to send the camera back to Kodak. (and pay postage) It is unlikely that I will get my "repaired" camera before the 5th December. I have now missed all the autumn shots I wanted. Am not very happy,from the time I purchased the camera it has spent more time in transit and repair than with me!

Love this camera. So easy to use and the results are first class. I needed one with telephoto and to take landscape photos so this camera is absolutely right for me. Nothing to dIslike, an idiot could use it and the price was right too.

the zoom is outstanding on this camera.it has everything that i need in a camera and more. it is quite large in todays style of camera so not easy to misplace.would recommend to camera users

What I really liked abt this camera it's the everything in it, light,size comprehensive,easy to work with and the excellent and perfect picture quality even in the dark. I other words,this camera it's a dream come true.

It's a great, versatile difgital camera. It has many options to set, I made hundreds of very good pictures. It is easy to manage the menu. If you want you can set full manual mode, here you can set everything you want, or there is full automatic mode, you can push the button only. Good advantage is the optics, because on the market you can find some lens, filters, which can be installed on the machine. The other advatage is the price, this is unbeatable, if you compare with other brand cameras, so this has a lowest price.
Summarize: this is a very useful, easy handle camera, if you are not a photo specialist, this is a good choice to make great pictures to the home album.
The machine has only one disadvantage: the given software (Kodak Easyshare) is a bit difficult.

Excellent camera easy to use takes great pictures and is easy to transfere to PC. This camera was purchased as an up grade previous camera was a ZD701. All the family are able to use it its that easy.

this is an exelant little camera, well priced and does everything you could want from it, video has crackerly sound but Good all rounder!

this camera takes really good pics and has a very good clarity,the only not so negative thing is the lens cap that fits loosely and falls off easily by a slight bump but this could possibly be the one i received.in general it's quiite a very good camera,good value for money.
