Kodak EasyShare V705 Digital Camera

This camera is amazing. Very easy to use and navigate.
The design is great, it is very compact, feels robust and is a very nice product to hold.
The quality of the shots are very good and it has some great features which are genuinely useful. The wide angle is fantastic for shots of both landscapes and people. Once you've used it there is no going back to a regular compact.
The only thing which could be better is the resolution of the LCD screen. This doesn't however effect the quality of the shots and you soon forget about it.
I would highly recommend this camera to anyone. Great fun and makes you want to take more photos.

I bought mine AND a V570 just to compare the two - and to have one in case I lost the other! It's totally unique and irreplaceable. I use the wide angle without flash (only one button to press to do that) since camera shake is not an issue at 23mm. Why? Read a photography book! Try getting ANY other camera with a 23mm lens for under a grand - and it won't be compact. I reckon Kodak were nuts to discontinue it - but probably only did so because it was too expensive to make. It's like James Bond when you switch it on - a magic lens cover! It's the camera version of a flick knife - if you miss any action with this one in your pocket, you need shooting! Christ, you can even get spare batteries cheap! I think I'm going to buy up all the remaining stock and sell them off over the next 10 years at a profit - although I reckon these guys are there ahead of me...

the camera is great i have been trying to get the kodak v610 to no avail the v705 was a good substitute its just missing bluetooth my daughter loves it as she had her v610 stolen .

Liked it so much that I bought another one for my wife. Then she said that she was quite happy with the one she had, so I'm keeping this V705 as a spare (I know... crazy)!

Took some video at an evening function, and the video and sound were not special. So I found this site (www.fixmymovie.com) which did a fantastic job of enhancing it - sound included, somehow.

As for the stills - it's a stunner. With so many pixels to play with, one can crop and process the pics to one's contentment without quality degradation.

One point of resentment: my expensive 35mm SLR cameras are grossly underused, with films getting out of date in the 'fridge!

A shame that this camera was too good for its own commercial survival.

I've been trying to find one of these cameras for some time, a friend owned one from when they were first sold and I missed the boat, the optics are really clever, a dual lens zoom system that outperforms much larger cameras, a shake control system, a relatively large viewing screen and all in a body no larger than the average mobile phone.

The only problem is, and this is only hearsay - but it sounds right, these cameras were expensive when they were launched, stretching customer resistance boundaries but Kodak was still loosing money because they cost so much to make.

I've got one now and so far I'm very impressed, I'll take more pictures and get to know it better but so far it agrees with the descriptions I'd heard.

Having had my previous model nicked I spent 10 days on ebay trying to find a replacement for this ceased production item.Most american sellers refused to deal with a non usa buyer.I eventually got my replacement from my original supplier who is in usa but has a depot in Nottingham uk. they were a bit slow, but did come up with what I needed.
...This 7mp camera is good for me,eminently pocketable,good review and instant re-edit on its own big screen.Does good long movies , and for stills effectively a X10 zoom mostly optical.Best of all apart from stitching wide panoramas together it has a"23mm" wide angle lens, which beats ANY other pocket camera for indoors, close up architectural facades and framed scenery shots.In particular ,there is no other camera with which I can hope to catch a complete rainbow.

This camera was the one i had been looking for it was small and had a high megapixel range. It was taking some amazing photos but about 1 month into the camera, it broke and said error, so i searched and kodak said it just needs an adjustment which will cost £60- pounds so i just threw it away, But if you need a small nice looking high megapixel range camera this is the one.

I love this camera. It's size is perfect for your pocket. It is very easy to use and the functions on screen are great. I love the panoramic setting.
