This camera, is nice and stylish.And fit for purpouse.
It has been a replacement for a previous camera(DX6340), and has far exceeded the previous one.
The zooms are terrific, it is light and compact, the mode(Styles of shot) are easily altered by a small wheel under the take button.
For the adventureous, the sound effects are pretty good, as well.
Close ups are really good, It also takes great photos of clouds, and sea coasts, river scenes, generally a great all rounder.
Conveniantly it takes the universal"SD" card, and being of 5 meg pixel, the enlargements can do a poster size with out losing any quality(This depends on your photo editing software).
I would recomend this camera to any one who just wants a reliable"Workhorse", to take pictures, photos and snaps,for any beginner, and intermediate photographer.
The battery lasts ages, and fits on the "Dock3" with the adapter whith no problems.
I am more than happy with this camera, and currently, am NOT looking for any thing else.

Very similar to the LS743(read reviews),but a few more pixels. As my first digital camera I'm impressed. It works very well in the standard auto mode, but has an extensive menu for more technical shots. It uses a good compact Li-Ion rechargeable battery,which is supplied, but a spare as well as a memory card would be a useful addition to any purchase. The optical zoom is good, but I have found the digital zoom to be of no benefit. The conventional view finder is useful in bright outdoor conditions when LCD screens are difficult to see. Like most digitals, I suspect, it doesn't like wet weather. It's a great little camera, compact yet my large hands can use the controls easily. I would recommend it.
