You wanted the best and you darn well got it

Hot out of the studio, Kiss set out to be one of the first groups to record a hot, rocking live album, capturing the sound they made best. Even before Peter Frampton had set out to record his masterpiece "Frampton Comes Alive!", Kiss had made this titanic achievment. With the original line-up in place, and songs that come to life after listening to their droning studio counter-parts, such as "Let Me Go, Rock N' Roll", "She" and "Black Diamond" it was easy to see why this album had brought the spotlight on Kiss. With only one single extracted from this album, the now ever-popular "Rock N' Roll All Nite", Kiss were on track to record their most cultivating studio album to date "Destroyer"
Alive! set the foundation though, and without this, it's pretty obvious that Kiss may not have gotten noticed. Whilst some people assume that it was originally the uproar that Paul, Peter, Gene and Ace had caused which brought them to the spotlight, they usually wouldn't have heard this masterpiece. Even to this date, this music stands out, up against great live albums such as The Who's "Live at Leeds" and Peter Framptons album as mentioned earlier. If you're into Glam Rock, Rock or even for that matter, Live music, this is one to check out. Don't put this group down, until you heard this.
