Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital Complete Boxset 2004
Review created: 04/07/06

I bought this as I am a huge fan of Stephen King. I had seen it on tv and missed a couple of the episodes.
It was a gripping storyline where I needed to know why the hospital was haunted. Kept you wanting to watch it week after week. This way I haven't got to wait,I can watch it again and find out this time!
As all Stephen King fans will know, it's a bizaar storyline with a twist as ever at the end! If you take your eyes away from the movie for a second you will loose the storyline.
But I am not knocking it, it's great! I would recommend this to any Stephen King fan. I can imagine anyone that doesn't like Stepen King would possible find this a little boring and weird to watch. Each to their own I guess.

Fantastic Stephen King Series - Kingdom Hospital
Review created: 09/06/06(updated 09/07/06)

Stephen King surpasses himself on this TV series. He shows that no only can he write and produce films of immaculate quality, he can also adapt himself to produce a gripping TV series. I collect Stephen King books and DVDs and admit that some of his films in the past have been slightly dodgy to say the least - at least if you compare them to the books, however, this TV series has turned out fantastically and is an excellent view - especially alone on long dark nights hehehe!

  KINGDOM HOSPITAL

for anyone who likes any of steven kings series, this ones one for the dvd collection, set in a hopsital built on hallowed ground, where the dead and the living exist side by side, watch how the spirits kill and heal the living to a final dramatic climax.

Some brilliant charicters, storylines that flow from one episode to the next and can be enjoyed by most ages young and old, some brill special effects, some scary bits and some down right humorous bits too!

Im sure any fan of steven king will love this set & so would anyone who just recalls cathcing one or two episodes of the famous kingdom hopsital series.

I loved it & its pride of place in my massive dvd collection to be enjoyed for many years to come (till i wear out the disks and have to buy a new set lol)

I like the whole concept here the lost soles, the giant anteater helping, the interaction between the two worlds. I like the humour. The series make me laugh.

The first episode is a bit slow but has to introduce the characters and plot.

Typical Stephen King, a series with a twist. The story line is good but with surreal creatures lurking in the background. If you are Stephen King fan then you will love this. The story is set within an hospital with weird goings on. If you fancy something different then try this.

King at his best, ditto to all the good reviews of this series, bought because we missed it on tv the 1st time around and sold again on ebay for more than the original cost. We are both King fans but this will be enjoyed by anybody, happy bidding!

  Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital

Totally surreal with lots of dark humour, this is Stephen King meets Twin Peaks. Compared to other King TV mini-series, this is far superior. King's warped sense of humour is evident throughout and the story will not dissappoint whether you're a King fan or not. It's not a King original - he developed the idea from a Danish mini series called The Kingdom, but some of the storylines are, without a doubt, pure King (his wife Tabitha also contributes on one!).
If you life the macabre and the surreal - this is definately worth a look.

Not what we expected. But not a bad thing!
Review created: 06/11/09

We missed this show when it was on sky, so we decied to buy the box set. The trailers looked all dark and scarey. Whilst there was the dark element, there was also a light hearted tongue in cheek feel, although we didn't find it particulary scarey. There is some humour especially with the "bigwig" Doctor, watch out for that one! lol

It wasnt what we expected but it was good. Being a huge Andrew McArthy fan, from his early stuff (showing my age here) it was good to see him in a diffrent roll, ie not the love interest of the lead female.

Good & bad ghosts, hauntings, humour, senaces, secrets, even some biblical miracles.

Why are the ghosts haunting Kingdom Hospital, and what secrets are being hidden? Why is the hospital the only place in the city experiencing earth quakes? All will be answered.

We liked it, but i could see some people watching it and thinking WTF? And why is there an anteater in a hospital???

I could see that this wouldn't be for everyone, it has some pretty weird things happening, dont want to say too much as it would give too much of the plot away, try it out you might just enjoy it so long as you can handle weird!

Bought this to fill a void now that Heroes has finished. Am not disappointed. My partner limits me to 1 episode a week so that I wait eagerly for the next installment! It's a bit bonkers, very dark and often hard to follow but I love it!

I purchased the Kingdom Hospitial for my wife Tara who from her previous marrage was not allowed to watch them, from start to arriving at our home was painless.
The comms between the buyer and my self was first class postage was also a credit and they did arrivie on the time stated.
The seller was a credit to ebay very accurate and spot on with there delivery I would be happy to purchase any item from them knowing I was not getting ripped off.
I do wish every one was as good as this seller was in fact on a scale of 10 I would give them 20 this is one very happy customer, the only down side is that I can not get the tv off the wife till she has watched the four discs think I will take up knitting hi hi all the best and thank you for a great service

  Started off well....
Review created: 18/05/06

Well I suppose this is just typical Steven King where all starts off being good and great and then the story tends to drag on a bit. A story about a man who had a car accident and all that happens in this strange hospital. How it can be resolved and all that....

I must say that some of the series did make me jump.

But maybe better to just watch it on TV rather than buy it.
