King Kong (DVD)

I had checked with other sites on price and availability,and found the dvd on ebay was cheaper then anywhere else,so i bought it. The dvd is excellent quality,and posted fast. This is the original King Kong film,and the recent remake with Jack Black,it closely resembles the original. It now completes my collection and i am glad i bought it.

THIS FILM WAS MADE IN THE 1930'S,IT BROKE NEW GROUND IN MOVIES WITH ANIMATION,DESPITE THIS IT DIDN'T DO FAY WRAY ANY GOOD,SHE HARDLY WORKED AFTERWARDS.THIS FILM WAS TO DO THE SAME FOR THE FILM MAKING BUSINESS AS STAR WARS AND JURASSIC PARK DID.IT OPENED UP ALL SORTS OF POSSABILITIES TO MAKE FILMS BETTER AND ITS FAR SUPERIOR TO THE MODERN VERSION.ITS A SHAME IT'S HARD TO GET HOLD OF ON DVD.WATCH IT AND SEE WHAT YOU THINK.

a masterpiece in its day,still excellent special effects and the ending always brings a tear to my eyes and also has the same effect on most of the people that have viewed the dvd with us.Transistion onto DVD is also excellent.

This, the original version has to my mind not neen bettered.The recent Peter Jackson Blockbuster was good, but didn't have the personality , or atmosphere of this film.Fay wray as the penniless starlett who travels to Skull Island is a genuinely beautiful heroine, and you can see the chemistry between her and Kong right away.

The Black and white film, and the imperfections in the film all add to its appeal. amd the acting although a little "Stiff" is quite good.Robert Armstrong was a popular star of the time and also gives a good performance in this film.

You can buy this DVD very cheaply, and i paid £3.50 so dont delay treat yourself to the "Original" King Kong", and then if you are hooked track down, "Son of Kong", "King Kong Escapes", "King Kong Lives", The 1997 remake starring Jeff Bridges, and ofcourse the Peter jackson 2007 remake which despite mixed reviews is fun to watch.
