  Rock Is Back.
Review created: 13/10/09

After 22 million records sold in the US and a three year hiatus, Kid Rock is back with the brand new album "Rock N Roll Jesus." Kid Rock hustled in the Detroit underground for over ten years before he burst into the mainstream in 1999 with the timeless rock anthem "Bawitdaba." Other hits like "Cowboy" and "American Bad A**" followed while ballads like his "Picture" duet with Sheryl Crow and "Only God Knows Why" helped to propel him forward as one of the greatest artists of our time. His latest offering Rock N Roll Jesus is no exception, running the gamut from hard rock to hip-hop to country and soul. Of the album, which Rock co-produced with Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, My Chemical Romance), he says: "I am proud of every single song on this record. It works from start to finish." Recommended.

  Wonderful bouncy Southern Rock

I love this CD. It's a bit preachy but no too preachy. Kid Rock gets his point across without sounding like a moron. Rock 'n' Roll Jesus is a brilliant song, obviously to go with Amen and All Summer Long.

Thoroughly recommended!

  kid rock better than ever

be warned this album is different from most other kid rock albums, its not hip hop or rap orientatd. the recent single all summer long is a good indication of how it sounds. if you heard or bought kid rock the self titled album that was for some reason not available in the uk for legal reasons then this is much the same quality. its a great album and shows the talent behind the hype.

  this kid finally rocks
Review created: 09/09/08

I bought this cd maily for the feature song "all summer long", having read reviews that the rest of the songs are generally ok.
It is a really good cd, most of the songs are catchy and good, they do actually, as the review went, remind you of Eagles, Linard S and generally the South, or old times Rock, with few exceptions.
All in all, I would recomend it to all but children.

Too Much Swearing to be Godly!

Bought the CD on the basis that I liked the recent track being aired on the radio. Have listened through, and like Kid Rock's style, in the majority.

Some of his words are a little explicit, and if he does it to shock, then he's made his point.

Musically, it's good to listen to, driving along, top down, music loud!

  His best CD to date
Review created: 28/05/08

More country music than rap in this cd but still mixed with a blend of rock that makes it a fantastic and original album. For me personally, it's easily his best to date.

  Kid Rock - Rock'n'Roll Jesus
Review created: 12/04/08

I have read reviews about this album on the Internet, and they all treated it like it was the Second Coming. Well, I don't think it is quite that good, but it's not far off. This is a brilliant album, one of his best (Cocky still does it for me). You can see how Kid Rock has matured in his songwriting and there are a couple of standout tracks for me, especially So Hott (not got a spellchecker, Kid Rock?) and New Orleans. These showcase the new Kid Rock to the best of his abilities. In short, go out and buy this album. You have to have it in you life.

rock and roll jesus- kid rock heavy metal blues!!
Review created: 30/03/08

Some cracking rock and roll songs with a few dodgy tracks bordering on country and western, good cd though well worth a listen especially the first half of the album. bst tracks are So Hott and All Summer Long and the title track Rock and Roll Jesus.
