Another great blend of jazz/blues style songs, charming lyrics and a voice to just ease away the stresses of the day. Sit back, relax and savour the moment. If you enjoyed the first you will like this. What lifts this effort above the average is the title track Piece by Piece. It is a wonderful mourning yet surrendering song, simple yet beautifully heart wrenching. While others are not necessarily 'fillers' they may take some time become addictive listening. Where the previous album consisted of more immediate tunes, this album takes a little longer to access. This is of course a luxury you are allowed when you have a reasonable fan base. Spider's Web is also a tiny shining star, a song about racism that is reminiscent in subject matter to 'Ebony and Ivory' by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder (but don't let that put you off!).
