On this album she puts her powerful voice to a selection of hymns, pop standards and arias - several of which are traditionally performed by men and have never before been recorded by a woman.

Katherine Jenkins, the newly discovered young Welsh mezzo-soprano has a breathtaking voice that captures the imagination and lifts the spirits. On her Second Nature CD, Katherine sings 'O Sole Mio', a piece mainly found in a male tenor's repertoire. Other songs include, Va Pensiero, Time to Say Goodbye, You'll Never Walk Alone and Barcarolle. I have never heard Barcarolle set to lyrics before and thought it wouldn't work but how wrong can you be? Her interpretation of the Offenbach piece is superb and not to be missed.
