Kate Bush - The Whole Story (CD 1986)

this fantastic cd of kate bush is all i expected and more.
it typifies her talent to perform in a unique and marvellous way and the reult i believe is timeless entertainment.
definately money well spent.

The Whole Story covers all of Kate Bush's most memorable songs from her first decade as an artist.This CD opens with a re-recorded version of her incredibly atmospheric 1978 hit, Wuthering Heights. (This version, in my opinion, has greater depth than the original single and remains one of the most remarkable songs ever recorded.)
Kate Bush is still one of the most important artists in contemporary music. If this is your first 'look' at her work I would highly recommend that you buy it.

Having been a fan of Kate Bush during the 70's and 80's the only album that I owned was Hounds of Love. As I'm now hitting my mid-life crisis I wanted to rekindle my old memories with some of the classic songs from my past. On the whole, (no pun intended), The Whole Story is exactly what it says on the box, featuring all the well known Kate Bush singles, (Wuthering Heights is still as haunting as ever). However, my only disappointment was that it did not contain Kate Bush's duet with Peter Gabriel, (Don't Give Up). If you're a fan of Kate Bush, this one is for you. If you are curious about the musical tastes of the late 70's / early 80's listen with caution, Kate Bush was an innovative songstress and some of her songs can take a bit of getting used to.

I love this album and had it as a tape years ago, always meant to get it on CD but getting it on ebay was so easy.

Originally bought this when it came out in the 80's on tape. Now using eBay to look for old LP's on CD. Advertiser gave a good description then further responded to questions I asked to verify condition of CD/case/in-lay card. I was happy with the replies and the sellers honesty was confirmed on receipt of the CD. I bid on my valuation of the CD from the description given and as it was honestly described I felt I paid a fair sum for it.

Now thats another CD to the 'back collection'. "NEXT"!.......... :)

I decided to but htis album as i have wanted it for ages but never got round to purchasing it, i think it is possibly one of the best albums of all time and i am glad i decided to buy it what a bargain!!!!!!!!!

I have always liked Kate Bush and to have her whole collection is a must. I bought it and it arrived the next day. I was very impressed.

It opens with the re-recorded version of her atmospheric 1978 hit Wuthering Heights. This version has greater depth than the original single and still remains a most remarkable song based on the novel of the same name.

Bush is a unique singer-songwriter with a gift for striking romantic imagery, although her work is not always immediately accessible. The Man With The Child In His Eyes is a complex and moving ballad, whilst Wow is a powerful atmospheric pop song.

Her music can be quite idiosyncratic and full of oneiric imagery, like Breathing and The Dreaming. On the other hand, Babooshka is a buoyant pop song with a catchy tune. This compilation is charming and enjoyable. Overall, Kate's music can be described as a form of art rock, not always appealing on first listen, but very rewarding if you persist.

This is a tremendous album which features Kate Bush's greatest hits of yester-year. I brought this because my dad used to play it when i was younger and it is still as good as i remember. A must have for any Kate Bush fan!!

I bought this CD as I want to sing the man with the child in his eyes and I also bought the music of Ebay. The CD was in excellent condition and I like all thh tracks. It has certainly taken me back to my youth!

Having played on a playstation game, I believe it was a 'Singstar' game, and seeing a Kate Bush song on their reminded me that I had an LP of hers in my loft, and as I can't play it anymore as I don't have a turntable I searched ebay for any cd's and found quite a few! I have bought two and shall be coming back for more, now my children can sing with me in the car, to 'proper' music!!!

I have always liked Kate's music and bought this so I could listen to her in the car, as all her other music I own is on vinyl. It's got a geat selection of songs, just a brilliant cd to listen to. Definitely recommend it.

I decided to buy this after watching a programme about Kate Bush and was reminded just how brilliant she is. I used to own this years ago on vinyl and listening to it years later it's still as good as I remember it back then. Any fan of unusually sounding female vocalists should buy this. Kate Bush was the first of her kind, many females have tried to be like her since but Kate is the original and best. I'm a sucker for weird and wonderful female artists so if you like Nerina Pallot, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, KT Tunstall (and not forgetting Diana Vickers from X Factor) then you should like this!

Well im a fan of pretty much every kind of music you can get. But funnily enough i grabbed this after watching Alan partridge do a meddly at the end of Steve Coogan Live & Lewd........Just for reminiscant reasons. Pretty chuffed i bothered as its a reminder of how many great songs where around when i was growing up. Great album with all the ones I rememeber.....cheers Partridge.......Back of the net!!!!

always been a fan of KB and had this on tape but needed it on cd for car. if you like KB then this cd is a must have. favourite tracks are "breathing" and "cloudbusting".

What more can you say about Kate. Brilliant and vibrant and charts her chronological rise in the pop world.

The DVD was at a reasonable price. Buying from Ebay is a well tried and trusted way of obtaining items which would not be in the shops and generally unobtainable.
