The hits from this album still turn up in odd places. just mentioning that I'd got a copy made just about everyone I worked with respond with a shout of K_L_F, uh-huh!

Sure it has filler, but in between are songs that make you nod your head, and make that funny face when you screw your eyes tight shut and sing along with the shouty bits.

This US version that includes the Tammy Wynette "justified and ancient" doesn't actually benefit from the extra tracks. Maybe it's because in between owning it on vinyl, and buying this CD on eBay, I read Bill Drummond's excellent autobiog in which he claims that she couldn't hold a tune and that it was only technology that saves it.

Worth every penny for any of the highlights. What time is love? indeed.

This was a must have for me as we used to play this years back on the way to the clubs in Norwich. My old cassete got lost so a CD version was just what the doctor ordered. I love every track on the disk and there is most certainly no dislikes. As they say ( I know what i like and i like what i got ) I decided to buy the disk for old times sake and it helps those days go by just that little bit better ( Not faster as that would be a waste ) Just better.

I heard a track from this CD on the radio and thought - I need to buy that again! - it is one I used to have several years ago and I lent it to a friend, never to be seen again!! So I had a look on Ebay and there it was - I had forgotten all about it and then when I received the CD it was great trip down memory lane (of my misspent youth!!)

The first shopping on the E-BAY

Very simply to do my shopping here. The only difficult stuff was to have my PayPal membership and have the feedback from them. Without PAYPAL I couldn't pay properly I had to sit on my money. Everybody wanted me to pay via PayPal.
Now its OK. Everybody was quite helpful and patient.
I've been hunting this CD for a while. That is why I decided to make an offer. I wanted to spend maximum 5GBP for this item plus postal cost. It seems to me anyway some of the people using postal cost to make some extra money with it...
Sincerely:
Krisztian Toth

  The video was a lie

I bought this after seeing a video of a track from this album, but when i got the album the track was nowhere to be seen(heard). Maybe at the time this album would've been ok, but now it's a dated, early 90's sound, and pretty disappointing after seeing the video with the sheep.

Fantastic - woke up early one morning a couple of months ago and Alex Lester played Justified and Ancient with Tammy Wynette. Had forgotton what a brilliant group The KLF were- Took me back years - went straight on Ebay and bought The White Room album and have played it almost daily since. They don't make them like this any more.

A genuine classic, now after me: mu mu, mu mu

This is actually the first CD I bought (in it's original UK release) and is still probably my favourite. The only problem was that it didn't have the familiar 12' version of 'Last Train to Trancentral'. I remedied this some years later by buying the Japanese import, which was very expensive and worth every penny, but this version is someway between the two and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Not only are the well-known singles supurb, but every other track on the album is a masterpeice, particularly 'Build a Fire' and 'No More Tears'. My only warning is that you will suffer, as I did form KLF-itis and want to get hold of anything else by them that you can, which can be quite hard to do, though this site helps, but will not prove cheap!

It's rare and a landmark CD and the band deleted it years ago so you really struggle to find it in independent shops where it is usually over priced.

This was an album i had as a cassette tape years ago and now finally have it on CD. A great debut album for KLF lots of interesting melodies and syntheizer work. Some soothing vocals as well are a great surprisefor it assumed as a dance album.

I used to listen to the KLF when i was i kid. I've forgotten about it until i listen to a swedish documentary about them and found out a great deal what i didn't know about them. Like the rebellious and anti-commercial side. The music and production is exellent and i love it!

  great cd in great condition

The White Room was a 1991 album by British house music group The KLF. Originally scheduled to be released in 1989 as the soundtrack to a film of the same name, the album's direction was changed after both the film and the original soundtrack LP were cancelled at the last moment. Most of the tracks on the original version of the album are present in the final release, albeit in significantly remixed form.

The White Room was supposed to be followed by a darker, harder complementary album called The Black Room, but the latter was never released due to the KLF's retirement from the music business in 1992.

  Great album!
Review created: 01/03/08

I had this on long time loan from my local library when it came out. Should have bought it then!I've now rectified that. A great addition to my music collection. This album sounds as good today as it did in 1991.
