K.T. Tunstall - Eye To The Telescope (CD 2005)

I would recommend this CD to anybody, because it is such a mix of incredible vocals and catchy songs, from an individual new talent. She has a fantastic voice, unlike so many 'artists' nowadays with no real talent of their own.

She also writes her own songs, a commendable talent in a real musician. She is neither young for the music industry, fresh and naive, or ancient with no real sparkle. Her music speaks for itself, with jazzy and bluesy vibes, slower thoughtful numbers and faster tracks as well.

The highlight of the album is undoubtedly first single, 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree', a really unique and strong song, or 'Heal Over', unreleased but thought provoking, catchy and relaxing. Whatever your style, I've never heard any complaints about her, and would challenge anybody to listen and not be impressed.

Bought this after hearing a KT track on a sophie Soloman CD.
I found this album to be far less appealing than 'Lazarus' on that
album. Apart from 1 or 2 good tracks the rest are disssappointing in their
vocal range and backing instrumentals.

This cd is excellent condition, it wasnt fast delivery but at least it had excellent condition thanks very much

Having heard the hits on the radio and found myself singing along, I decided to take a change on this album. While I feel that the hits are the stronger songs, the overall feel of the album is melodic, melancholy and mellow. KT sums up a mood and injects an intesnity of feeling into her songs that belies her age. Would recommend.

Having seen K T Tunstall live in this year, had to buy the album and was not dissapointed in any way. This singer/songwriter is fantastic, songs with meaning for all kinds of people and life events. My personal favorite has to be Black horse and the cherry tree, great singalong track - full blast. Also have drastic fantastic album. This is an easy listening album, some are a bit slow but as i said, all moods and feelings show in the range of tracks.

Quite simply I love this album because the artist is a very old friend of mine. We used to hang out together when we were small. I am so proud of her and think that her sound is amazing.

This a a great debut album from a talented starlett. The way the songs are written, to the way they are performed shows her skill and passion for music. KT Tunstall is a must for most collections andwill apeal to folk/country music lovers, as well as pop lovers.

I bought this cd,hearing only one track from it: 'Blackhorse and a cheery tree', but the rest of the songs are great.

KT Tunstall is one of the best female artists around, with her beautiful voice and interesting use of live sampling when she performs. Truely an inspiration to any budding female artists out there!

I may be a little slow in catching on, but this is an excellent cd. I can happily sing-along to this all day.

I love this album! Tunstall's voice can be quite hypnotic in the ballads she sings but tracks such as "Suddenly I See", "Other Side Of The World" & "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree" mark this album out as a classic and this is why I rate it as being excellent.

Great debut CD from KT Tunstall with the classic single - Suddenly I See. There are other great songs including The Other Side Of The World and Black Horse and the Cherry Tree. Some good acoustic backing make this a promising debut album. Surely KT will be a great star of the future.

i love this singer they are one of my favs. i love all her CD's but this one i have always wanted. it is so cool i would recomend KT tunsall's Singing any day.

Had already heard some of the tracks and liked the album, the released singles of this album are in my opinion very good both lyrically and melodically.

Only one good track. Some catchy songs but no soul or depth. A waste of money even at £2. Not as bad as Lily Allen but getting there.

I'm sure there are hundreds of reviews about this album, so I'll give my personal feelings - I love the folk-rock sound, and KT is obviously a skilled musician with a great voice. Black horse and the cherry tree is my favourite track. There are some finely crafted songs on here, and this album deserves the honours it has received.

At a time where some true musical talent is starting to emerge, Katie Tunstall is at the forefront. A real mix of catchy folk and mature lyrics, KT has the ability to both rock out and sooth. Some of the tunes on this album sound more like Nora Jones, while others get your fingers tapping on the steering wheel.
This is definately a CD for driving (and singing) along to! It now quite happily exists in the door pocket of my car and is played regularly - especially on sunny days out.

Having heard a few of her single's off this album, I decided to buy K.T.Tunstall's Eye To The Telescope CD. It brings together several fresh musical elements, and combined with her beautiful sometimes-husky-sometimes-soulfoul voice makes an excellent and refreshing change.
