john lennon's music is so full of life,a great songwriter and performer.has a person he made many mistakes,but everybody saids things we live to regret.the song beautiful boy,about his son ,still brings a lump to your throat.his music will live for ever

the delivery was fast, the cd is in good condition and i was pleased with it.
i will be looking on ebay for more music bargains as i am a music fan and need to get some old music i do not have.

I recently went on a long weekend to Liverpool to do the famous 'Magical Mystery Tour' of the Beatles. It was brilliant, and it got me thinking i needed to buy John Lennon's greatest hits. Even though you instantly think of 'Imagine' as the best track, i was always drawn to 'Starting Over' and 'Jealous Guy'. The man was a genius, no point denying it. What this album does show however is the possibilites there were if he had lived....an excellent album and fantastic value for those wanting to ease themselves gently into the world of the Beatles going solo!

John Lennon's solo work has been anthologized so many times that it's hard to believe there wasn't a definitive compilation before this one. And, depending on your particular take, you might not find Lennon Legend quite hitting the mark. However, since it does contain the brilliantly scathing "Working Class Hero," doesn't ignore the woefully underrated Rock 'n' Roll album, and catches the hopeful renewal that came toward the end of his foreshortened life, it's probably about as close as anyone's going to come. His great songs shine, meditations like "Imagine" and his rockers had form and content, as in "Whatever Gets You Through the Night." He was an icon, and this does him justice.

This album is fantastic and an absolute must have for any Lennon fan as it rounds up a lot of his very best onto one disc save chasing through other albums.

These are songs from Johns Late 60's-70's plastic ono period. There are one or two good ones such as Imagine, jealous guy, this is christmas, starting over, instant charma, plus more which are to be frank little more than album fillers and well below lennons best efforts.
Bear that in mind when you buy new, but if you get it second hand for a couple of quid..so what.

Maybe buy Definitive Lennon: Working Class Hero if you want the best quality tracks as that is the one that's remastered, esp if you're downloading them to iPod.

That said, this has a great shot of Lennon on the cover and a good running order of tracks that outlines his inner journey in the 1970s, from stark grappling with self, to the Lost Weekend sans Yoko, to his return to the fold and domesticity.

This item I have been wanting to purchase for sometime but never got around to it, so when I saw this on EBAY it reminded me instantly, so I looked at the price and found it to be more than reasonable for what it is and bought it.He and the Beatles always used to be one of my favorites as I was brought up with the Beatles always singing in the background at our house and this sure takes me back.

I enjoyed most of this album although I have to say, I didn't understand a lot of it! Lennon was brilliant in a lot of ways, maybe I just didn't 'get it'.

Wooooooooooooooooooooow what a fantastic album from one of the best recording artists ever, why would anyone want to shoot such a genius? what a shame he or anybody like him is not recording today.

This is a very good CD as it contains all the famous hits of the famous man. A definite buy for Lennon fans.
The card inlay and accompanying booklet is very well laid out too.
