Joan Osborne - Relish (CD 1996)

A friend played a track in the car and I was hooked. I habe been playing it constantly since. Not only can Joan Osborne sing, she can compose and interpret other artists such as Bob Dylan's, 'Man in a Long Black Coat'. Her famous track is 'One of Us, imagining if god was one of us ' a slob like one of us'. The first track St. Teresa uses the steel guitar to great effect. In short try this album, a much under-rated artist, certainly by me until now.

I used to have this one on a casette and have always wanted a dc.. great music, amazing voice, highly recommend!

Joan Osborne is singer not widely known in the UK however came to prominence with a appearance in the Funk brothers story 'Standing in the Shadows'. Had a massive hit in the states with 'One of us'. Superb voice bought the album on the basis of her other albums. Probably not everyone's cup of tea but certainly worth a listen. You will not be disappointed.

Joan Osborne has a great singing voice, had only heard one of us before brought this cd but like most of the songs, some randomness going on but never or less great cd, great singer, definately worth buying this CD !!
