Although a very good album for the collector, this recording suffers from fairly primitive recording techniques that reflects in sub-standard sound rendering.
There were some interesting voice projections from Grace Slick but it would seem that the sound equipment for the live performances was giving her a problem - and also the backing vocals.
It's a good album for the collection and an opportunity to hear what an early live concert sounds like - a far distance from modern digital recording equipment!
Anyway, when we were younger and heard this - we thought it was great 'n' groovy - we soon got in a cool party mood!
If you're an Airplane fan, you will definitely like this album in your collection for an occasional nostalgic revisit!

This would be a worthwhile addition to any jefferson airplane fan, although do bear in mind that it is a live recording from various concerts from the late 60's and this is reflected in the sound, but if you appreciate the rawness of live recordings then you will enjoy this, if you want a better studio sound of their tracks i would suggest buying a 'best of' album.
