Album Notes After performing many cover versions in concert over his forty odd year career, American singer/songwriter James Taylor decided to commit them to tape. Recorded in January 2008 in a converted barn in Massachusetts, the album sees Taylor take on a selection of songs by some of the world's greatest songwriters. From Eddie Floyd's soul classic 'Knock On Wood' through Rogers and Hammerstein's 'Oh What A Beautiful Morning' to Jimmy Webb's 'Wichita Lineman', the tracks are presented here in Taylor's characteristically understated and soulful folk rock style. Taylor's recording of Webb's masterpiece earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
